Jim Riggs at the Wurlitzer: "Singing in the Rain" Duet
Музыка
Yes, the tune we all know and love. This version, with piano by Vincent Lopez once more, is quite straight and square compared to the lush & fabulous 1952 Gene Kelly edition. However, it is that very 'squareness' that makes this AMPICO arrangement sound so genuine and receptive to enhancement by the Wurlitzer. Sometimes a thing is so square, it's cool.

This fine talented theatre organist has passed away, sometime in 2023. I am happy that I heard him play in person at the stunning Paramount theatre in Oakland Ca. His style and tonal artistry was breathtakingly beautiful. We have lost one of the truly greats in his field. Thankfully his music will live on and on to enjoy! God bless you, dear man. Thankyou for all your wonderful Wurly music you captivated us with. 🎶❤ Jim Riggs, You will be missed!
Simplest of tunes, but you can't quit smiling! What a great idea to play the duet.
Nothing beats the sound of a pipe organ.

This is wonderful Jim! I love that we hear the song in it's entirety, verse and all. What a great idea.
Jim, you are a true gift! Keep these theater organs alive with your playing!!
Superb ......... wonderful!!!!!!!!
This is top drawer stuff. I just cannot imagine anything better out there in cyberspace than Jim on that Wurly! The Bone Doctor Walnut Hill Productions
beautiful sounds
All I can say sir is WOW
Each of your "Phantom Duets" is marvelous, but the combination of your and Vincent Lopez' Ampico roll of "Hello, Bluebird" has such momentum that it has to be seen and heard to be believed. Every detail, including your interpolated chords on the third manual between phrases in the last chorus, is so "ear-pleasing"!
That is AWESOME!!!!
very lovely music to me i feel excitement
Wonderful! Thanks for posting.

What a wonderful thing to hear this combination of talent! Hope you will be making more of these videos in the future.

Forget that last post. My PC had gone kooky - okay now!
Reminds me of A Clockwork Orange :D
The 'Singing in the Rain' Ampico roll isn't by Lopez - rather, it's a duet played by Victor Arden and Adam Carroll.
PLEASE,-1,-MORE,-TIME,-!
sounds like there is a slight delay with the regulators from the moment he presses in the key.
@FourFootFagott I'd give it an ELEVEN on a one-to-ten scale!
OMG! is that an organ or the Challenger's cockpit?
Les arrangements sont tous de M. Riggs esprit seulement. R. Hope-Jones
What organ is this?
What type of piano is that? lol
