This 1927 TB-5 Deluxe Mastertone Banjo was recently found in its original tenor state...and was converted to 5-string with a perfect matching 5-string neck by Master Builder....Mr. Frank Neat...the banjo still features its original late 1927 "40 Hole Raised Head Tone Ring"....
This entire banjo is "virtually identical" in every way to the Pre War Gibson Style 5 Deluxe Mastertone Banjo made famous by the late great Dr. Ralph Stanley....which Ralph played for the majority of his career....

When you say fully original, you mean conversion correct??? I've been told that only 53 "original" pre war flatheads were made, is that true???
Jim, it would be a wonderful thing if you could demo more of your original banjos. No one else gives such a good sampling of how they sound.
