Great at the ball fake and play action...Jimmy Mac was the 80s

Excellent video! Putting the dates on some of the throws is much appreciated. It helps the viewer have some context. IMHO Jim McMahon was severely underrated as a QB. Accurate, even when rolling to his left, sold the play action, threw receivers open, SMART, reckless w/his body which is the reason he was on multiple teams but always courageous in the moment. Unfortunately for NFL teams QB availability is as important as QB ability. Thank you for an excellent video.

So underrated! Tremendous competitor and Hall of Fame material. The best Bear QB since Sid Luckman.

Got my 1st hernia thanks to Gault - screaming at the TV - "If he drops one more easy TD - !@#$%^&" - he improved, you all did. What a great time to be a Bear fan.

Jimmy Mac was my dog! Everything about his game was underrated! Healthy I put him against any of his time! His BYU records stood until Steve Young broke them!

Yes. Walter was amazing at all aspects of football. So versatile with heart of a warrior.

I think 16 was in 1983.

Jim was a winner! If Chicago keeps him healthy all season including the playoffs from his rookie season thru 1989 when he left for San Diego the Bears win at least 2 additional Super Bowls!

Agree. 1986 & ‘88 could’ve been their years. The dirty hit on McMahon in the Packers game in 1986 really changed his career with the Bears.
