@@benzion8885 Just like blaming Russo for WCW going out of business you are parroting the nonsense about those talent leaving because of Kevin. WCW was going out of business with or without Russo, Time Warner didn't want it and those talent, Benoit, Malenko, Eddie and Saturn were leaving WCW with or without Sullivan having the book or not. Sullivan spent a year putting Benoit over, culminating with him booking Benoit to RETIRE HIM, then 18 months later Sullivan put the belt on Benoit. It was Benoit that took that spot knowing fine well he was going to leave anyway. Who is really the asshole in this situation? I did not witness a backstage fight between Sullivan and Benoit. I can not comment on Kevin's family because I never met any of them except Nancy. Security was tighter than normal that evening. Kevin was an outstanding boss and I had the utmost respect for him. I knew Chris up to 2001. He was a gentleman and a very quiet person. I believe Chris had severe brain damage from all the bumps, the inability to cope with his friend's death along with trouble in paradise, and the status of their financial situation. I met Kevin Sullivan last year. My friend and I went to a wrestling seminar instructed by him. Little did we know, we were the only ones without training. The ad said nothing about expecting ring trained wrestlers to show up only. Everyone was asked to go in pairs, and work for 5 minutes. Before it started he talked with us a little, and found out that we never entered the ring before. Because of this, we almost didn't get to try anything, but I wanted my money's worth, so I asked if we could work. Kevin asked permission from the owner, and we got in. Now we're wrestling infront of a dozen wrestlers. We did okay until the final spot where I did a back suplex, and my friend sandbagged. Felt a shock in my spine from that. Kevin said we did fairly good for not having ring experience. Nice guy. Bizarre experience. Felt like a fever dream the next day

That's just storytelling. They wouldn't gonna paint Nancy in a negative light. Even though she had an affair with a married man who had a pregnant wife at home. That eventually broke up the marriage. Or talking about her getting locked up for Domestic Violence in her marriage with Kevin.

@@Wadzillia She was not the doting wife and helpless waif people like to say she was . I don't think its ok to be violent toward anyone but she was known to be a difficult and salty woman who could handle herself . Both Sullivan and Nancy had coke and alcohol problems so it does not suprise me that she and Kevin had a few episodes degrade to violence . Not that I think Sullivan cannot be criticised for that but people assume he was the aggressor when its just as likely if not more to have been guilty .

This man doesn't deserve the stain of what Benoit did. Sullivan had nothing to do with what happens to Benoit. Sure he booked his wife's affair but Kevin hadn't been living with Nancy for 8 months at that point. Sullivan did a hell of a job running things at WCW and is one of the wisest bookers in the business. He evolved the business with his booking. I'd love to see Kevin Sullivan come out with a book.

Sullivan had nothing to do with that faitful night dude. Chris and Nancy were in an extremely turbulent, erratic and sometimes violent relationship. By the end, they had almost split numerous times but kept together for Daniel's sake. Meanwhile, Chris' brain was the equivalent of mountain porridge by the this point. To boot, he had just lost his best friend the world whilst being directly in the public eye the whole time. That week he completely snapped beyond all reprehension and slipped away from sanity. The comments from Nancy's family, Dean's wife, Jericho and all those involved portray a mindset that they cannot ever accept that a man they loved so much and admired unconditionally could ever do anything as horrendous and unforgivable as what he did that night. Hence, they look for a scapegoat to offset the possibility of reality because the reality and greif facing them cannot compute in their brains. They can't be blamed for their emotions or anger any more than Kevin can. It's such a sad, tragic situation of which the scars will last for a lifetime for all involved.
