I agree. More is not always better activity wise. I am sure almost EVERYBODY will disagree with me but that was the case with champion Brock Lesnar. You don't have that character wrestling every tv taping, it doesn't make sense. He is the final boss that only shows up occasionally, so the chance to beat him is even more high stakes. And for MJF it makes sense too, why would he be trying to wrestle every week? Makes no sense for his character.

I think they pull the trigger on the Wardlow/MJF breakup soon, maybe even Darby and MJF keeps going with bigger stakes culminating in a match where Darby wins because Wardlow "costs" MJF the match. Then at Revolution, MJF/Wardlow. I think Wardlow has to go over in that event (which doesn't feel right necessarily, but you'll kill him on arrival if he loses MJF). MJF moves on to something else to quickly rebuild. Then, Double or Nothing, he beats Adam Page for the World Title. Follow that with a Punk feud, Bryan Danielson, PAC, just give him wins over the stars until he finally drops it to Eddie Kingston. Imagine MJF and Eddie toe-to-toe on the mic. Then when Eddie wins, my god the place will erupt.

As an AEW fan, or to put it more correctly: a fan of wrestling, I like this match very much. I appreciate MJF for his heel work, its tremendous and extremely logicak, consistent and smart compared to much of the rest we got that night. Darby is hot and over, can sell great and has a strong comback, plus his moves look viscous. Together they put on a match with 2 risky spots: the missed coffin drop and the coffin drop to the outside. The rest of the match was laid out so that they got the most out of nothing. Very artistic, smart and entertaining. But I also really like a Young Bucks match where they do crazy high flying, breath taking dives, flips, jumps and tag team spots. But in my eyes, they also tell a story and its very entertaining to me, but it hits different. If you compare it to drinks, one is a beer and the other is a wine. Both are good but you drink a beer with the boys and a fine wine when you dine with a girl.

Can't really say "nobody" at AEW likes him. Outside of the Young Cucks, Omega, Moxley and Jericho I bet the vast majority of the roster would appreciate his input/ booking. I assume FTR, MJF, PH Hobbs along with the more established wrestlers ( Punk, Danielson, Cage, Miro, Daniels/Kaz, etc.) would appreciate being booked like a classic wrestling program. Don't get me wrong, I doubt JC would ever want the job and I doubt the marks would stick around if it happened.

MJF and Darby were Match of the Night and the best match of the PPV. Like everything with AEW they blew their load early and never recovered by the end of the show. The Four Pillows are the future of AEW and this match shows that. I'm glad MJF was able to recover after the feud with JeriBloat. Darby continues to be impressive.

This was the best match on the card. I loved it. These guys had a great match, MJF is so pure & talented in ring, Darby is so unique so enigmatic. They were perfect rivals! The wrestling was good here throughout the headlock takeovers, the backbreakers, the powerbomb on the knees, the tombstone on the apron! Darby's selling my god..Darby's offence was good too the quick pin, the submission holds, good pace, the coffin drop to the floor was so cool, MJF selling his knee after dodging the coffin drop in the ring. The cheating finish too for MJF to win this one, this can be the opposite of the MJF vs Jericho feud & be BRILLIANT not BULLSH*T. The only thing i hated was MJF's choice of pin as Darby's shoulder was up.

i liked this match but i did think it went on a little long. it lost my interest a few times but the good thing is that both guys are supremely over and really allowed to go out and wrestle. MJF is a damn good wrestler and it's unfortunate we don't get to see him actually wrestle more often on TV. they had a few very good sequences during the match both at the start and near the end with the various roll ups. the ending was a bit contrived but okay enough since MJF is a heel. but at least they worked in the whole side headlock roll up angle into the finish, which i thought was cool. anytime an angle revolves around ideas about wrestling, it's cool kinda like how Bockwinkle would talk about the difference between his sleeper vs a chokehold. that's part of the lost art of wrestling these days.
