Jim makes a great point when it comes to Jericho. Every time he came back to wrestle in the WWE, he would leave for 6 months, then come back and the fans would go apeshit. In AEW, Jericho has been there from start to finish. I’ll give them the fact that the COVID lockdown threw everything for a loop. But there’s a reason why every time Jericho came back in WWE that the crowd would pop off whether he was a heel or face. If he were to just take a few months break, I bet everyone’s palate would be cleansed and we wouldn’t be as tired.

This! i was so looking for the recap comment, haha, big props and upvote, man. About the list itself, it's fun to see that out of 75 names he read, Jim basically canned about half. I mean, it's pretty reasonable, of course completely canning Omega and Jericho is questionable but it's very easy to see why I am sure Jericho is less offensive to the idea Jim still has of business if only he wouldn't be allowed to run every single silly idea with his now patented leech-and-ultimately-bury-who-is-over tactic, and he is a terrific worker for his age. Jim himself says that he does not have a spot for him 'right now' but alludes to him coming back in a few months, so you could say he sorta makes the (imaginary anyway) cut, just with a vacation, haha. I agree with Brian about Jim overrating Kazarian XD .

It's a shame that AEW has used Buddy so poorly that Jim can't see the value in him. Buddy has only had ONE singles match on AEW Dynamite (against PAC) and Jim actually said "There might be something there". He said he's athletic, he's in great shape, but he has a horrible name and is in a horrible group. Four months later, Jim doesn't see a place on the roster for him. AEW should've brought Buddy in under a better name and he should've been the guy brought in to stop Malakai...also, Malakai should've been booked like a killer and not like an idiot who wants to psyche out his opponents. Their first match should've went to a draw, then build to their next match on PPV, which would've been where Brody King debuted in order to keep Buddy from securing the victory there, then Buddy would've had to beat Brody before getting another shot at Malakai.

He is shit, a lot those WWE recruits are being esposed. WWE hide the flaws , so most who made the switch to AEW are pretty bland

AEW roster has no singles star It's all factions and trios and tag teams. I can't think of one wrestler that is running in truly singles fued or program. Punk was their last big draw. They have Daniel Bryan but they have ruined him beyond repair to capitalize on his star power. MJF could be their next singles star but he's aligned with the "Firm" for some stupid reason. This company is not in the business of growing or making money but just for 2 things. 1 - Tony Con gets to play with his real life action figures and make friends. 2 - Tony Con to keep investing in booking decisions to keep his newly made friends happy.

AEW's roster is bloated as hell and even with that we only see the same 10-20 people every week. Unless it's Moxley, The Elite and their friends, Brit Baker, or Jericho and his jobbers almost no one else matters. It's amazing how much top-tier AEW does have that means nothing unless they are losing the previous names. They also have a ton of talent that should never be in the ring or on TV or Ex-WWE stars, Tony hoarded just so they couldn't go anywhere. The Acclaimed is one of the few exceptions as they are home grown talent that got naturally over.

I believe they could heat Kazarian up in like two months with the right booking. He could be a solid hand on the roster, as they say. Brian is dead wrong.

Agree. The role that Razor used to play in the early/mid 90s WWF. If Hall couldn’t get a good match out of you, you didn’t belong at the top of the card.

I will say I agree with Jim's take on Pac on the top rope. You could watch a Lord of the Rings movie in the amount of time it takes him to keep his balance and get set. Yet, Randy Savage was up the ropes in less than 2 seconds and even Rick Steiner - he'd stand on the middle turnbuckle and put his right foot on the top and half leap up there. They were twice his size and got up top faster.

Hearing Jim talk highly about Christian Cage makes me so happy. I feel like he is the most underrated talent year on year. Top 3 worker on the mic with Cody and Punk for me too.

Are we sure 3 years in that having "The name" Moxley as champion is still the way to go... What if the champion was Cesaro but he was having great matches and great progression.. or Wardlow, Starks, Powerhouse etc. 3 years in and we have to have Moxley cuz of the name STILL. They have 3 hours weekly to build guys
