Climbing Mt Everest if you’re not an experienced climber is one of the most insane things you can do. For the last 3000 or so feet you’re literally dying because the air is so thin. Then you have to come back down that same 3000 feet. Some of the most skilled climbers on earth have died trying to climb Everest.

If Darby has never climbed a mountain before he has no business climbing Everest. I’ve fallen down the KZread rabbit hole about Everest before and have seen numerous stories about inexperienced people trying to climb It and dying because of it. Several were actually told to turn back because if they went any further they would die.

Best work Jay White has done in AEW. Darby, so far as we know, has never been a mountain climber or even touched any of the other Seven Summits. At best, he'd have wasted serious people's time. At worst, he'd be left up there to eventually do a frozen coffin drop down the mountain.

I think he was on Aconcagua but if memory serves didn't get to the top because of weather. I don't think he's ever been on an 8000m peak though which is often considered sensible before an Everest attempt

@jordanwillis542 In that case yeah it's tough to imagine some more reputable guide agencies saying they'd take him. But then money is money and I'm sure he'd be paying handsomely for someone to try and get him through the icefall only to then come right back.

It takes years of intensive training to climb the world’s highest mountain. You even have to train to breathe at incredibly low oxygen levels. He needs the next 5 years to train to have any hope of getting past the first few base camp levels. What a dumb thing to say in the first place.💪💥🔥

Why, in the holy hell, would they need to do an injury angle? EVERYBODY, and their mother, KNOWS HE'S CLIMBING EVEREST!! Just say he's taking time off to climb the damn mountain FFS! Then just do whatever angle you're gonna do when/if he gets back.

The first place I checked gave the following prerequisites to be accepted for an Everest climb: Start training specifically for Everest at least 9-12months in advance of departure. Have the time to commit to training 5-6 days a week Be comfortable hiking 1,500 vertical ft per hour with a 20lb pack. Concentrate on High Volume but Low Intensity training Theres more chance of Buck Zumhofe headlining Wrestlemania next year than Darby being ready to make a go of climbing Everest. I’m sure there’s a guide somewhere who’s not too bothered if you are intent on becoming the next human icicle as long as your cheque clears.
