George did a small show in Vernon NY in the mid 90's at the Vernon Downs horse racing track. During his entrance, my friend and I recognized him and cheered that a bigger name wrestler we knew of was there. He came over, slid the bicycle rack barriers open, and let us walk with him to the ring. I'll never forget that. Brett might have issues with him and I always loved Brett as a kid, but I will always think fondly of George and what he did that day for me as a little kid.

I have a similar story about George. I was about 12 and it was mid 86 against Savage. He pulled me into the ring after Macho got disqualified. And he had told me to eat the turnbuckle. The crowd went wild. I will never forget that. George was that kind of guy.

George the Animal Steele was the finest scientific wrestler of his generation. He never cheated. He never broke a rule. There have been accusations by less talented grapplers that he used foreign objects. No. Those were pieces of safety equipment mandated by state athletic commissions. It was his opponents who stole those pieces of safety equipment and used them as weapons. See for example Backlund V. Steele 30 July 1983.

IDK about the last century but in the last 20 years being intelligent is actually a detriment to being in the teaching profession, or the education industry in general. You're not supposed to think, you're supposed to do as you're told and lap up the college indoctrination (it's not education anymore) so you can brainwash kids like the deep state wants.

George Steele never found out that they were the guilty parties.
