Two of the most outspoken and entertaining people in the history wrestling in one interview. Pure gold.

What a great interview, Wayne is very honest
This stuff is just so great. My personal 2 favorite guys to listen do shoots and tell stories.
"Vince Russo.....he's a miserable human being personally......he's a piece of shit and he's ruined the wrestling business" bahahahaha Jim, you're the best. And I agree with you about Russo, BRO
" how you going to reprogram me? Shaved my head and have me come back as a German" honky is quick witted just like corny

Honky Tonk man, and Jim Cornette are great interviews, because they are very candid, and don't sugar coat anything.
Brian should invite him to 605 or experience, HTM is very entertaining. I really want to hear about his memphis and stampede days.

HTM isn’t obscure enough for 605....
Very good words from Cornette and Ferris about death and family. I think about my dad dying in 1990. Like Jimmy he was on Choesteral lol but circle of life.
Probably the best shoot I’ve heard both parts 1 and 2
I wish this interview would have gone on another hour.
Great interview!
He dropped the title at SummerSlam 88. That Saturday Night's Main Event was in 87, which would had been when he called Jim Barnett.

No, they are talking about "The Main Event" NBC special in February 1988, the same one in which Hogan deferred against Andre with the twin referees involved
Rhythm and Snooze! Lmao
John Wayne died from a bullet in the back by a bartender in "The Shootist".

The movie nerd in me has to let everyone know that John Wayne died in the 1949 film Sands of Iwo Jima first and was nominated for an Academy Award for best actor. As cool as Bruce Dern is, he wasn't the first to kill the Duke in the movies...:)
@johnclayton5062

Alex Batey That's true, but in an earlier movie Bruce Dern killed him. The Shootist was probably John Wayne's finest performance.
I don't know why Eric Bischoff didn't like Honky Tonk Man. Seems like he had something against him without even knowing him.

Bischoff was also the "genius" who said the Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin would never draw any money..... Duh!!!

Aw jake not the piss!
I finally found the wrestling interview of a lifetime. These two don't bullshit anything.
This is awesome stuff these 2 are some of the best shoot interviews. Hopefully someday we get Kevin Nash as a guest that would be gold.
Honky saying they know people that should have been dead 50 years ago (whether or not that's hyperbole I don't actually know), and Corny recalling Lex saying "I had some fries 6 months ago" to say he's in better shape than Lex now is really something. It's a weird, weird business.
You couldn’t do the Kamala gimmick today.

I liked the CHRISTMAS CREATURE 🎄 .
This kicks ass
If only the wrestlers put a union together when the chance was there and that was during the 80's. That would have been the perfect opportunity for them to form a strong union to protect the interests of the wrestlers but they didn't do that and nowadays, wrestlers do not have any bargaining power unless they are a John Cena.
Bruce Dern was the best western movie heel in the business.

He hated having to shoot the Duke in the back he supposedly got a lot of unwanted heat
Honkey Tonk Man was the TV CHAMPION but Eric instead of letting Honkey make the belt mean something like when Arn made it big then after Honkey makes the tile big then have him put over a young star coming up can you say Warrior but no Eric doesnt get every belt can be big and some know how to get the future stars to take the next step
Talking bout repacking besides Kane, they also it was Barry Windham, Mike Rotundo, Tony Atlas, Iron Sheik and Tito Santana
2:55- 3:08 LMAO!
I looked at him with the people's eyebrow long before it was the people's eyebrow
Wrong John Wayne got killed in the Shootiest to by three guys on his birthday in the movie because he was dying of cancer. So he set up a gun fight with three guys got all shot up and the bartender ended up shooting him at the end of the fight

OK so what's the difference between Stan Lane and Bobby Eaton? Other than Bobby being a better worker...(and don't get me wrong Stan was a great worker, it's just Bobby is an all-time great).

I'm talking about the portion of this interview where they go off on how there has to be a substantial difference between tag team partners (eg, Ricky Morton is short, blonde and sells while Robert Gibson is tall, brown haired, cross eyed and does the hot tag comeback).

He says he did not want to drop the belt on TV but in other interview he has said Bret Hart should have done what he was told.

Who is that Alice woman and why does she have a more masculine voice than Brian
Pretty rare for someone with so little talent to get pushed so hard and so long as happened with HTM
@hoponpop3330
5 жыл бұрын
That depends how you define talent. For a heel his job was to get the crowd to hate him . Th more you hated him the easier it was for the baby face to was beating him up to get over. No HTM was very talented and aware of what his job really entailed . Few understood the business as well as him. He was a heel for twenty years before he became the HTM Your still hating on him.
