Jimmy had the best fecking dropkick ive ever seen. He could effortlessly plant both feet on his opponents mush from a standing position. Totally disagree about HTM. Wrestling back then was all about entertainment and HTM was the most hated heel for a year and a half despite not having the body or wrestling skills. HTM was somewhat limited in his move set. But he drew heat. He got the crowd to hate him. People paid money to see HTM get his ass kicked. But what Brunzell says about HTM can also be said about Hogan. Hogan was limited to the big leg drop and some chops and punches. But he made the crowd pop. You his kid? No one in the business EVER has said that he was one of the greatest workers ever....only that his in-ring sucked, and he was all gimmick, no go.

I wish the people being interviewed understood what was expected of them. We want to hear more than 'nice guy' or 'lucky'. Some wrestlers are just better interviews than others.

Honky Tonk was a mid-card jobber at best, and what a stupid gimmick.

Lord Alfred Hayes : most boring, unfunny commentator ever, alongside Ventura and Savage. Those 3 used to ruin every show they commentated on

Jim is a great example of an AWA Mark. He's mid card at best. Everyone who was over was lucky or not good in the ring.

He was mid-card because he was bland, but there's no denying his skills. When you have skills and personality, you can be a Flair. When you just have personality or a gimmick, then you need a special push. I bet HTM got his push because Vince was very pleased with his part in creating the character. Maybe Vince is a frustrated playwrite. He's certainly overly dramatic.

Yeah, he was limited, it's a fair criticism. Didn't seem like Jim was being mean, but it had to rankle his butt when it came to being judged in the pecking order and making a living.

The following wrestlers had no business in the business. 1.Hogan had zero skills. 2. Nash was horrible in the ring. 3.Piper was a terrible worker. All he did was throw punches 4.Dusty Rhodes was another terrible worker. 5.

As Vince proved, you won't go broke underestimating the taste or intelligence of the marks.
