Little Wytse has a phenomenal trot. He doesn't even seem to touch the ground. His tail carriage is exceptional too. He probably slept well after keeping up with his Mom's long legs in the arena. Great video Yvonne. ❤❤

Wytse is gorgeous! Look at him flagging his little tail! He already has that "flying trot" that I love so much about Friesians. Very cool information about their breeding line. Also that there was a Frieda in there. She's in horse heaven now and looking down on her namesake and her sister, Jildou ❤

Jildou was born in February, she hadn't been in the meadow before... and I think, the same goes for Sjirkje, while mem Jildou here is very relaxed and at ease. I love seeing them in the arena to take a close look! 😊

Jildou is a magnificent beauty, always has been, and now as a new mother she is truly something special. 😊 she was a sweet and spirited youngen. Such a lovely horse. I do so enjoy watching her

A beautiful sight! Mare and foal moving together is always a delight to behold.

I remember Jildou as a foal being nervous and anxious with new things. This is her first foal and I think it's her first time in the indoor arena with said foal, so of course she's really anxious. I believe in the previous video, Jildou and Wytse were with the herd (I'm guessing today's video was filmed earlier than yesterday's), so it's nice to know that Jildou relaxed a little. It's not her fault that she overthinks things.

To an expert 16 day old Wytse's trot may look irregular, but to me it was beautiful. I am amazed that she's trotting already and that she is so smooth doing it. Goedzo!

At times Wytse was trotting forwards and upwards like a cute little champ 😍

The two of them were quite at ease (filmed in July) in the arena, but Yvonne arranged the same setting as 4 years ago. It's so funny that Sjirkje foals always seemed so independent and running off in the arenas like Jildou and Sanne and maybe even a young Frieda but Frieda and Jildou's foals seem to stay very very close to their mems 🥰 So i have to say I'm a little nervous because of the previous community post. I pray that all is well with Jildou and Wytse and everyone at Stal G and Stal H 🙏🏽❤️

@@marya4861 Hi! I answered you earlier, but my comment has disappeared. I have not seen the leather wood carriers. I have a plain old canvas sling which I am very happy to have. Or have been happy to have. This afternoon, my dog, Ronan the Barbarian chewed through the straps! I kid you not! While I was taking a break from toting wood, I neglected to put it up out of his reach. So much for toting wood when I went back out. He is in the middle of his "terrible twos". I'm holding my breath to see if he becomes more civilized as he grows up.😥 Luckily, he can also be adorable.🤤

I think all the horses must just love when Yvonne straightens their forelock and clears their eyes, followed by some patting, of course. Sometimes if she does not do it, or does it later, I want to reach in and do it for her! 🤣

Man I can’t believe I’ve been here so long I love now watching things come full circle from Jildou being a tiny foal running alongside a very protective Sjirkje to being a beautiful adult and a mem. She’s also the exact opposite of Beppe S when it comes to Wytse still watchful and attentive however much more trusting and a heck of a lot more interested in both the camera and scratches from the humans.😄That’s what happens when the first interaction & experiences with 2 leggeds that a little one knows are full of loving kindness and affection. 🖤🖤

I burst out laughing when the first thing Jildou did when Yvonne released her, was walk directly to Oda. She's the first mare that I can recall (other than Reintje) who was very calm and careful with her foal in the arena. And Wytse was very good about staying with her, too.
