I love how much a gentleman Steven is. That South Carolina southern gent, leading his lady guests by hand up the stairs to sit down with him by him for a chat. What a gracious, caring man, and such a fab comedian and entertainer. Must not forget, he is one of the smartest people on the planet, with a photographic memory. No one outsmarts Steven Colbert, nor will anyone outclass him. Ain't going to happen.

Ah, but the difference is Kelly Clarkson won the first ever American Idol contest, and was then in recording servitude to the record label for FIFTEEN YEARS… a crappy punishment for “winning”. Jennifer Hudson was lucky she didn’t win, so she could choose her own career path. Smart lady!

NBC took the steve harvey show off the air because of Kelly Clarkson and steve harvey's ratings were great, that is how good keylly's show is . Kelly Clarkson show is on NBC, Jen Hudson is on USA. So.... lets do the math. USA producers are saying "Man NBC is killing it in the ratings with Kelly Clarkson, how can we compete. Well who is probably the second best successful american idol star ??? Jennifer Hudson". USA gave her a show to simply compete with kelly clarksons ratings. It has nothing to do with who won first. Simply put Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson are the most successful contestants in the show which is why they both have shows. But it started with the success of kelly clarksons show.
