Casting Force of Will to use Misdirection as a counterspell was unnecessary. From the rulings pertaining to Misdirection: You can choose to make a spell on the stack target this spell (if such a target choice would be legal had the spell been cast while this spell was on the stack). The new target for the deflected spell is not chosen until this spell resolves. This spell is still on the stack when new targets are selected for the spell.

Who cares that some arcane rule says there was a better way to do it? What everybody got excited about was Ryan finding a clever way to "counter" dovin's veto, not perfect play. Ryan was really thinking outside the box to come up with that solution, even if some rule book somewhere says it was unnecessary.

The amount of times you referenced the triggers for Mystic Remora, Rhystic Study and Smothering Tithe was kind of unnecessary, but I enjoyed that. I like intense detail like that. I know that adds a ton of work for you, though. What was your reasoning behind when you went all in on commentating/animating each trigger and when you left triggers like that to the background with the little icon next to the relevant player's name? I do like that system as well. It keeps the video from dragging on too much while still keeping viewers aware of everything. I think the icons could do with being a little more noticeable, however. I'm thinking having them pop up significantly larger and brighter initially then scale back to how you currently have them over the course of 1-2 seconds. That way the triggers can catch a viewer's attention better briefly then fade back to avoid being distracting. I think the balance you had between full details and leaving repetitive triggers to the background was good here. I just want to emphasise the importance of that balance. I don't know what the ideal form of that balance is without doing a lot of testing myself, though. It's probably a subjective thing anyways. Well, I think I've rambled on enough. I hope you found at least part of my feedback helpful. Already can't wait for the next video!

This is excellent feedback! So the basic premise is, that whenever there is a trigger that is relevant, it should be displayed on our visual stack in the middle of the page. If there is a trigger that isn't relevant, (such as a mana crypt flip that wins and no life changes), it would just slow down the narration of the video. Since it's nice to see that the triggers actually exist, it's better to show them visually. Also, since there is relevant information in things like "may" triggers, such as rhystic study or mystic remora, (you can choose not to draw a card), we need to show if someone did or did not elect to act on these triggers. Sometimes these triggers can get pretty frequent. To prevent our video from looking too much like a slot machine, we try to keep the triggers relevant, yet unobtrusive. So we don't make them too large in our already scarce screen real estate. I hope this helps. Thanks again for the feedback!

The force + misdirection play was a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally big misplay, because he could've just chosen the misdirection as the new target for dovin's veto, therefor saving the force of will

@@TomGalonska true. It seems like you shouldn't be able to because you choose new targets as this spell resolves which in my head resolve happens at the same time as the card being put into the yard, but it's not. And the gatherer text verifies.

I would love to see a Pir/Toothy used on cEDH. I know Voltron is not "meta" but with remoras, rhystic studies, and sylvan libraries everywhere, Toothy can take out people amazingly fast. Not only that but you can go for Simic Ascendancy win, or flicker Toothy a lot to get a Lab Maniac win. Put a Narset+Windfall for the funsies too.
