I wanted to share... I had a girl I was with for 7yrs. I thought she was going to be around and be mine forever. Her dad ended passing away. It changed her and I didn't know what to do, I prayed for her happiness and asked god to take away her pain. Couple months later she broke up with me. She said she needed to be happy alone. I was so hurt and it took me soo fucking long to let go. I still love her to this day but what I've heard from mutual friends shes happy and with someone else... tbh the pain I feel is worth it, as long as she is happy... I mean I prayed for that... 10k memories

But now he’s gone I’m hurt because no matter our issues in the past he was my father and he loved me…. I commented on this video 8 months ago, my daughters dad was here 8 months ago, now he’s not. He got shot October of 2019 in his & was paralyzed from the neck down, he was 20yrs old. He passed away 09/03/23 he was 24, his birthday was 09/01 & mines is 09/02. That’s what’s important. I just posted about my loss. This song made me pull over I was crying so hard. My loss happened in 2018. We met a day before my bday and for 8 months and 23 day we were together everyday. When you lose a significant other it messes you up. We do think we have time but we never know. She was in the hospital and I wasn’t going to work but she said go ahead and go I’m fine. I hope you two are making those memories.

As a writer, I always pay attention to the words and unravel the threads of music. Jhene gives me authentic and deep lyricism and so much more. She is poetically sound, great tone and vocally smooth, and she understands and has an ear to music and sound. One of my all time faves!
