The Type 19 155 mm Wheeled Self-Propelled Howitzer (19式装輪自走155mmりゅう弾砲, Hitokyuu-shiki-sourin-jisou-155mm-ryuudan-hou) is Japanese wheeled self-propelled gun. The vehicle is designed to replace Japan's inventory of FH70 Towed Howitzers.

What makes you think so? I see absolutely no problem with the type-19 especially when you consider japan’s garbage geography.

But Archer is more expensive than Type 19, as costly as tracked SPG.

when west see east howitzer, they always compare it with archer, but while archer isnt that advanced.

Archer has armored cabin, while this is a wheeled howitzer, that is a wheeled armored howitzer. More expensive and not suitable for Japanese geography, probably.

Wheeled armored howitzer and truck-mounted howitzer are 2 different concepts
