JFK Jr. Was Killed in 1999... Or Was He? - Jordan Klepper Fingers the Conspiracy | The Daily Show

Комедия

Daily Show contributor and podcast host Jordan Klepper digs deep into this conspiracy theory that’s circulating at Trump rallies and the larger MAGA world: is JFK Jr. still alive? Journalist and author Will Sommer, and political scientist and conspiracy theory expert Joseph Uscinski join Jordan Klepper to trace back the myth that JFK Jr. faked his own death to take down the "deep state" back to its QAnon origins. #DailyShow #JordanKlepper #Podcast

I was living on the Cape when JFK Jr. definitely died along with his wife and her sister. People that had boats small and large were on the water to lend any help they could in finding the plane. The only thing that stands out is the tragedy of 3 lives that ended to soon and now the fools that continue to grasp at straws. From someone who was there and remembers that whole time, what was going on and not being part of the family, please let them rest. This is not a road people need to travel down anymore. Elvis is dead, Tupac is dead, JFK Jr. is dead, let's worry about the living in our lives the people that matter today until they are not with us anymore.

Isaac Asimov called it "a cult of ignorance." He wrote some extremely imaginative fiction - but I doubt even he could have fully guessed the ramifications of the Internet, and the megaphone that social media would give to these cult members. In nearly seventy years of observing the American species, I have never seen such a motley collection of carnival barkers and hucksters misleading so many to their own ruin.

The very first exercise in the book had a uniquely Miami theme: basically about going to a Jimmy Buffet concert at the waterfront amphitheater on Key Biscayne ! She has a way of being charming while looking you in the eye and saying the most insane things as though they are completely normal. Where it goes off the rails is when you challenge her on any point. That's when she starts screaming. She also likes to take any piece of information and twist it so that it spins her way and takes it as fact. She loves being the center of the chaos she creates. In my opinion it is primarily attributable to four factors. 1stly - lack of legitimate education 2ndly - our ever increasingly monetarily biased & now even corrupted political system 3rdly - sadly many who actually believe in white supremacy 4thly - theology run amuck. There are more. But I believe ALL of us having ever increasingly become dissatisfied with our overarching systems, which for most maga morons has led them to somehow believe trump & the lunatical republican party to be a rectifying agent. Which shows how bad off we really are as a country. I have come to the rationalization that our only true rectification is to create two separate countries. Not civil war. Just a simple choice, as to which country you desire to be a citizen in. i.e sane people over here, insane people over here. Why keep endlessly disputing. I can't speak for you, but I am tired of the insanities.

I got into a mild discussion (in the beginning) with a pastor that I knew well in Texas. It started to snowball and I lost interest due to the irrationality and idiocy of all of it. I finally reached out to him just to show some kindness and attempt at understanding. He let me know that he'd gone to Dealy Plaza in Dallas and joined the watch party. He worshipped Trump. Two weeks later, he killed himself. I was shocked. I had once been a minister and he had served on my staff. I couldn't believe it went that far.

I doubt it hurts much considering the Kennedy family and conspiracy theories are like peanut butter and jelly. They just go together. Currently we have RFK Jr running for president, spreading his own conspiracy theories, being praised by Trump and the right.

It is sad. As a child, my mother adored the Kennedys, in the pre tabloid and journalist television, and I remember her sobbing when the news of the assassination was announced. The country forgot their differences, pictures of JFK Jr. Caused many tears from the neighborhood ladies who gathered around the television.

I was a HUGE X-Files fan. I loved the conspiracy ideas and they were fun to explore, but it was just entertainment. Sure, some things have merit, but it never became an identity or replacing my core beliefs. If anything, it helped me to expand my perspective, become more skeptical and learn how to filter truth from lies. Now, when someone says their a conspiracy theorist, they've basically thrown critical thinking and skepticism out the window!!
