I know those guys. Used to see them in Jerusalem all the time. It’s actually not very common to see Hassidic people playing secular songs. They are unique because they were born and raised secular and become hassidic later in life. They are born again hassids :)

I just don't understand that in 10 years there's only 15,200 views. It should, seriously, be a million. I mean, I sent this link to my siblings and asked one to show it to my mother (we live in different states) and ALL of us were blown away. It's a song I've long loved. Everyone in the family loves Pink Floyd. My late brother even had one of their posters on his wall. There was something about this that made me want to cry. They just brought such emotion to it juxtaposed from what many usually expect from deeply religious Hasidic Jews.

This is so cool and unexpected. I was in a bar in Florida and a Russian Guy walked in and seen the piano and said can I play . Sure. He started to play show tunes and then asked me what I like. I said Pink Floyd , really meaning Not show tunes. He then proceeded to play Pink Floyd on the piano for about 2 hours . It blew me away, he was fabulous. I never would believe that Pink Floyd could sound so good on just a piano. I never seen him again .

Awsome, shows we can all something great reguardless of our religion, nationality, political beliefs or any other label.

for me it is just fascinating, i live in Oklahoma U.S. im quite poor and have never really been very far from here. i do not now how i picture modern Jerusalem in my head but this was probably not it, it is after midnight and the street is bustling with all sorts of people and life. it would be very interesting to experience.

Islam strictly differentiates between KAFIR the non Islamic infidel unbelievers and MUSLIMS the believers. Hence there is absolutley no scope in these religions to be purely Human Beings. I am stunned that these guys even heard of Pink Floyd no less know how to play them.

Awesome, there was a second there I thought I heard the drums come in. I’ve been playing this song for years and never tried simply strumming the rhythm guitar, sounded great I’ll try it!

Beautiful! Made me smile. God’s people have got talent.

I didn’t expect this at all. Life is truly an amazing journey.

But of course it does every culture sees music differently notates it differently teaches it differently uses music theory differently you culture affects your musical taste music is sort of a universal language in some ways but it’s more nuanced and your giving a big slap in the face to ethnomusicology
