Meditation from the end of "THE PORTAL: an art experience by Jewel" running May 4 - July 28 at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
Your whole life can change in one moment. Make one decision to let something go that no longer serves you, and dedicate yourself to on thing that does.
The sentence in this meditation is a powerful tool. It is a promise not to be perfect but to refocus on the things that bring happiness in your life.
Take a piece of paper and write down:
"I sacrifice my attachment to __________
and I dedicate it to____________."
Fill in the blank.
Maybe you are letting go of perfectionism, control, going it alone, low self-esteem, regret, codependency, anger, or negativity. Any of these things.
Perhaps you'd rather dedicate yourself to being more present, connecting with friends, or getting out in nature. Maybe being inspired, learning new things, taking care of your body, asking for help, creating a spiritual practice, or practicing gratitude. Choose what feels right to you.
In a private moment, put the paper in your hand and hold it over your heart. Close your eyes and say them aloud, filling in the words that you wrote down.
Feel the commitment in your whole being, the yearning, imagining your life as you make this change. Breathe.
Doing this meditation once a day is a powerful behavioral health tool, helping your thoughts, actions, and intentions all move in the same direction. It is a step on the path to wellness.

Jewel, I hope you see this! The timing of this is insane. During my meditation three months ago, your face was shown to me as clear as day and I believe we are supposed to collaborate together on some children’s music. I have already written a lot of the songs, but I stink at guitar! Words can’t express what it would mean to create a song with you because I have been in love with your voice since the early 90s. I have seen every show you have ever done in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. I remember you in Asheville, wearing a short white skirt and little pink top. I just lost my dad and that concert gave me hope again because you were so bubbly and I could feel your spirit. The release of spirit has came at the perfect time for the shift that taken place on this planet, and so since you came out with a meditation video, I will say this here, but I am also going to, contact you other ways. I love you. I love you. I love you and enter from the east means something way different to me now than it did back in the early 90s because now I know the Bible and I cast my net to the right side every day. I will listen to this meditation tonight as I fall asleep after I take no thought for an hour listening to my fan because we must also meditate with zero chatter and zero guidance so that we can hear God clearly. Thank you for being a SUN/East in the shining sky for all of your fans and the other fortunate people that happened to find these meditations because they are the key to the kingdom of God within.

Musicans do art after their 20 year mark hits and they make almost nothing in revenue. Songs barely last 4 years except for the very rare summers. Cost $250,000 just to cut thru the fluff and get a new song played on radio in summer. The art is meh, not inspiring at all. This is rather boring af for a mediocre artist that nobody knows today besides divorced millenials and their genz kids that were forced to listen to her after school car rides with their single broke moms. lol
