    Hey mate, to be honest when I first watch your channel I was a bit reserved, i thought you were overdoing it with your positive enthusiasm. But, I could not stop watching your channel, even to the point I have been binging all your historical videos. So thank you for this channel, it's great, entertaining, educational, and motivating. Keep up the great vid's mate. Cheers, and thankyou.

    Just a tip something I’ve done for 30yrs is put a stainless bolt through the pipe about 10/12 inches down it stops your reel mount from rubbing on the pipe. It reduces damage to your reels mate.

    Great info, cheers. Watching this, I realised I've probably been a bit keen on my wind in. I like your steady approach. One question- I was told not to handle Jew by the gills as you can cut yourself and it can harm the fish. What's the philosophy of where you grab them? Doesn't look like it's right on the gills but you had a good grip and obviously didn't cut yourself. Cheers.

  • @aussfish9995

    @aussfish9995

    I just grab them on the outside of the gill plate, some guys even critize you for that but I,m not touching the gills at all you can grab them up near there jaw bones which is good probably the best way and guys wont have a crack at you

  • @aussfish9995

    They come and go each years seems to be different, if they become a problem we just use Beach worms exclusively they don’t eat worms and we would try to stay in place. The Jewfish seem to coexist with the smaller ones

    Another top video. Ive always wanted to try beach fishing but just don't have the set-up to do it and since im inland i think its a bit of money to spend only to use once a year. To bad about the outboard never a good thing when something like that breaks its costly and hurts your fishing experience. I hurt my outboard only a few months ago trying the Hunter river for the first time cost me $3500 to fix. Did they tell you what caused it to over heat.

    Beach fishing is great fun only been into it for the last 3 years. Actually I got the engine going my mate from Fiji is home on a trip visiting his parents. He is an awesome mechanic we have put on a new water pump kit in the leg, put in some hotter plugs served the gear box and engine she is going better than ever 👊

    @aussfish9995 you must eat a lot of carrots. 😁 I fish with 3 rods solo (on that beach) and like to know if there are pickers or tailor hitting the baits. I don't think I would trust myself in the dark, especially if I have had to use the head torch to re rig.

    @humesy69 I’ve spent the last three years fishing with my old Beach mentor I’m used to it we never use lights on the rods he never uses a head torch to bait up the only time he ever used a light is if he has to re rig he is truely hard core old school and I try to emulate him 👍
