West coast jetty fishing opens at the second half of Mar in Washington State. Rockfish and lingcod become active when the water warms up. In Washington state, you can get black rockfish (Sea bass), lingcod, greenling and sea perch at Westport jetty, Ocean Shores jetty, Cape disappointment jetty and Neah bay jetty. Jetty fishing can be very productive, but it's dangerous at the same time, be sure you have a pair of good shoes which can hold the ground. This videos cover the jetty fishing tips for beginners, hope you guys like it.

    Great information! I've fished the Neah Bay jetty and it can be productive for both rockfish and lingcod depending on the conditions. I haven't fished the NB jetty since 2018 but it was $20 for a tribal fishing license. Same bag limits apply with state regs. BTW, are you a Beijinger?

  • @BashiWAFishing

    @BashiWAFishing

    2 жыл бұрын

    Shorter rod is easy to control and lighter, if you can reach the spot you want to cast, then use shorter rod; I use raw shrimp, not plastic ones. I use kastking reel and okuma rod

    Hey Bashi, this is great. Couple questions for you :) Is there any downside to always using the swimbait vs the shrimp? Also would you recommend a net, is catch/release pretty hard on the jetty?

  • @BashiWAFishing

    @BashiWAFishing

    Жыл бұрын

    Shrimp will get you perch and greenling, but not rockfish for most of the time, while perch won't bite a swimbait; I use a net just in case I cannot reach the fish or it's a lingcod

    Hey Bashi, Just curious as to what you are using to pack your fish across the rocks back to the truck. Last year I brought my fish pack and packed them out by hand then started having a friend bring a pack board backpack to put them in. Trying to be as hands free as possible as you know how bad those rocks can be. Curious as to what you do when you are by yourself to pack your fish and gear back across those boulders.
