Rock Fishing A Jetty For Lingcod & BIG Black Rockfish

Спорт

Rock fishing a jetty along the oregon coast, targeting lingcod and Black rockfish from shore. I've been using some new swimbaits that have been catching a lot of rockfish lately and wanted to get out here to the jetty with some of the bigger sizes to see if i am able to find some big black bass or some big lingcod... any fish will do but my focus lately has been searching for some giants.
In this video there are plenty of catches, which made for a fun day, but running into this monster fish was the icing on the cake.
I'm using a different rock fishing setup / jetty fishing setup than i normally use . I will leave the specific info below with links.
When it comes to how to catch rockfish from shore and/or how to catch rockfish from a jetty, this setup is the best way to catch rockfish from shore in my opinion, followed by jigs w/curly tail grubs. I will leave a few jetty fishing tips and tricks along the way in my upcoming jetty fishing / rock fishing videos.
Rockfish fishing should pick up now that we have reached the month of may, so get out there and give it a shot.
IF YOU ARE NEW-ISH TO JETTY FISHING OR ROCK FISHING, CHECK OUT THIS LINK BELOW TO ONE OF MY VIDEOS THAT COVERS 7 DIFFERENT ROCK FISHING/JETTY FISHING SETUPS AND RIGS.

Thanks for the post, Nick. 👍 I never get tired of your coast fishing videos. Of all youtubers, you inspire me most to start fishing. And Rokkit most to start kayak(fish)ing. I do neither... yet. Thank you!

I found your channel tonight. In a year, my family and I will be moving to Oregon, and I want to get an idea of what the fishing is like there. I think I will be enjoying it. I never caught a Rockfish from the coastal rocks here, just Surf Perch. I'm a photographer, and I know the PNW will be giving me many opportunities in both camera and fishing. I've caught bigger fish including a 50 pound Halibut on boats. I like your content and your excitement for fishing. I will enjoy this channel.

I went out to fish around Pirate Cove today and caught two small kelp greenling and about four thousand rocks and barnacles. I lost a ton of gear and wasted a lot of bait... what a pisser. I did see a bunch of whales just off shore; a great sight for sure, but I was sure disappointed with my first experience fishing the ocean. I will definitely be looking for a better location to fish next time. I have really enjoyed your videos. Maybe one day I'll catch a few big ones. I hope so!

Hey man I’m at the coast right now might do some rockfish fishing off the jetty in a couple days and was wondering what time is better to fish. Out going or incoming tide? Or high or low tide? I’m more of a freshwater guy and just thought I would ask. Epic video and great fish!
