Simply genius. No-one has ever written songs as poetic, unusual, and unique as Ian Anderson, and I doubt if anyone will. He is the Mozart of Rock Music.

@@alwilson3204 " I have always referred to Ian and his merry band of misfits as a treasure" . Many live shows from mid 70's to late 80's and then the 50th Anniversary Tour, and beyond. So many extraordinary performances. Minstrel in the gallery, indeed !!

True minstrels in our time. They had such a wide ranging style, they were so much more than the usual verse, chorus verse band playing songs that went in tiny circles, with everything in 4/4 time. They were unique and had a long history of great musicians coming and going in their lineup. I shall miss them dearly.

I don’t have words to describe Jethro Tull, to me this band is too too much above the rest of all progressive rock bands and Rock bands , this is the only band can mix and change different styles with perfection and Jack A Lynn is a demonstration of that .

Heh heh. You are obviously too young to remember vinyl. Plastic albums could only be about 25 minutes per side. Left out because the album was full. BatB was released pretty much at the divide between the death of the vinyl album and the dominance of CDs. Still, the only thing to miss about the old album was the jacket art, and the all too rare occasion of interior material. If you get a chance you should pick up Thick as a Brick in the vinyl just for the interior stuff.
