I love it when musicians just PLAY - no fancy gizmos or heavy beats, just pure, unadulterated sounds, enjoying what they are creating. My kind of music ♥
Ian Anderson had and has an incomparable gift. Unbelievably, he's still performing today! And still playing songs like this - it's breathtaking! (I suggest you don't chance delaying if you get the chance to see this high figure of musical history)
I Saw Tull in 1972, 1974, & 1975. What spectacular shows. The level of musicianship was breathtaking. I still have the photos I took!
To my new high school friend after 47 years I love you
Tull taught me so much: I was mixing the sound on this tour and also recording it for the 'Little Light Music' album. So good to hear / see it again :-)

That's amazing! I didn't see the tour but I LOVE the album. Great mix, super clean recording with a lot of soul. Congrats. Tull is my favourite band (along with Cardiacs and Zappa). Cheers mate.

That’s one of my favorite Tull live albums - and Under Wraps probably my favorite track off it.
Out of over 100 concerts I've attended in my lifetime, Jethro Tull, backed by Uriah Heep - Boston MA 1978 - was my favorite!

I was there! Easy living by Uriah, Ian did a new day yesterday off the stand up album, boston garden off of storrow drive. We're still alive and remembering! Peace
It's a bummer we'll never see a Tull show again, as we knew them. So much music poured out of this band in all it's variations. I feel bad for the people that never "got it."
The Under Wraps arrangement is wonderful - and a reminder that there is a lot of good music on that album - I think it's just the drum machine and synths that turned people off. I grew to love it and still do.
Tull is simply the best. Ever.
In '71 I got into two composers, A to Z, Anderson and Zappa. Haven't left since.

You need an "M". Right in the middle. You'd enjoy Neal Morse.
4 bands mean the most to me.. The Beatles.. Led Zeppelin.. Jimi Hendrix Experience and Jethro Tull...
Yes Beautiful
Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull .... The BEST
Beautiful song real music talent
That's some guitar playing
Yeah Ian you´re so damned right: Life´s a long song, but for certain not every song is a hit, that´s the problem-sometimes....how lucky we can be that we live in your age mr.anderson :-)
Flute is FABULOUS!

Guitar's pretty good, too!
One incredibly talented dude! Always great respect for Ian!
To me he's rock's most articulate original acoustic player. Sittin on my porch with my guitar trying to figure that shoit out and then watching him is definitely 2 different things haha...
Martin is crazy insane tallented.
Grandiosi❤
My fave Tull tour and album! I listen to A Little Light Music monthly. I love the diversity in the albums they pulled from on this tour and the acoustics are just amazing
Oh Christ, I just saw and heard that Nursie is on this too!! Aaaaaahhh!
I have an audio bootleg of this show titled "When Minstrels Came to Play". Awesome to see the video!
Love a"Little Light Music"". And "Under Wraps" as well. It is a pity Ian's voice was not what it had been live by this time but the band had never sounded better. sttgaegoaktd
@decapitatespammers Totally agree - saw Tull a couple of years ago, Ian is totally grounded but the man's talent is quite unique - he's awesome. The audience obviously contained a large amount of life long fans, some of whom knew each other and the band, so it was like being within a huge group of friends.
Such a beautiful melody... great lyrics... hard to find this song by them on you tube other than a very early 1971 promo film and later years like this one... it’s one of my favorites
Well congratulations. I LOVE Tull. So underestimated. I know they were so fussy about the sound being perfect al\ways insisting on best equipment and engineers so you must be a great engineer. Well done - you must be proud to have worked with such a great band. What were they like as people???. Anderson stikes me a s a genious with deep feelings. I wish you were around to mix my bands over 30 yrs. Always a problem and so much in your hands
On my bucket list I would like to include "Nursie", "Wond'ring Aloud" & "Locomotive Breath"........Heaven!!

My favourites as well.
According to the Ministry of Information website, this version of Nursie is supposed to be the one that's on A Little Light Music, but it sounds nothing like it!
@3moonriver That's also how it is in the Todd Rundgren fan community - experiencing them is as fulfilling as watching Todd do his magnificence. And Todd is touring now including Something/Anything songs, and has done dedicated shows of A Wizard, A True Star and the Utopia album!! Some of us were lucky to have been alive when legends like Todd and Ian ruled the musical world, and I don't want to blow the rare opportunities to live it again, in person, right now!
@KingHellstrings You're right... Live albums that are "polished" in the studio later end up with mysteries like these. Have you noticed that two songs(Under Wraps and John Barleycorn) were mixed from two nights of recording? If you listen to John Barleycorn really closely, there is a hint of a second electric guitar that seems like its not supposed to be there.
10/10
Руки в верх !!!!!
There are 2 ppl that DON'T like this???? Go somewhere else
In ny opinion, this version of Under Wraps was the only decent track on the album! Harsh, I know, but just my opinion. Thanks for uploading this wonderful piece of treasure from the past 👍
Oops. Lyric mistake at 2:04.
Ian was "WAY" to thin back in 1992' 0n this tour !!! 😳 "My God" Man, eat some Cheeseburgers 🍔🍔, see what I did there ! 😁
Does anyone else remember when he toured in a wheelchair bcoz he had DVT??

Yes, I do... One of the best concerts I saw of them...
Why Ian why? Why part from Martin?? You two were the best pair in all of rock music. It’s never been the same since. It lost all its magic. 😢
Funny, to me Under Wraps was the last classic Tull album in terms of song writing and lyrical approach, never mind the flat synthiness of the production. I never warmed to the later work, except for the occasional tune (Root to Branches, say).

he just fuckign, pulled out a flute

It's a shame Ian Anderson disbanded Jethro Tull he got rid of Martin Barre that's a bad mistake
STUPID ads!!!!
Great song, totally burnt vocal chords, here. SAD! Such a low key,and he can barely squeak it out! Great band line up, here! That's why singers should not smoke like a chimney!
