Fun fact, I watched this movie numerous times in three days because it and Matrix were the first videos I ripped from DVD to DIVX. Command line decrypter, deinterlacer, scaler, normalizer, encoder, and a muxer. That were the days.

Jet Li is awesome in his flying kick moves , so fast and powerful ...love it

It was mostly wires used in this movie but overall, all the fight scenes were awesome in the movie. I'm sure Jet Li can do those kicks without having to use wires but it's Hollywood, always with the wires.

I remember watching this with 3 of my friends and one of my friends older brother who was 10 years older than us when this was in the theater (We were 15, he was 25) and he got us in. We were cheering and loving this movie and I remember my friends older brother was hating it cuz he said it's a movie made to "Consciously make black men look like weak hypocritical thugs". Honestly I think he just didn't like how Isaak's people kept getting their asses kicked throughout the movie but we weren't sensitive like that. The rest of us were 4 young black teens who were sophomores in high school, loved Kung Fu flicks, and had a huge crush on Aaliyah which was the one thing we all (Including my friend's brother) agreed on. Memories.... RIP Aaliyah, you goddess of a woman, now among the gods and goddesses for real.

@@JL-zg5bk yeah man. I even remember where I was when I found out. I was at my friends place having lunch with his family and suddenly the bulletin came up on their tv. We were like “What???? Naw man. No!” It was like summer 2001. It kinda tripped my mind to know 9/11 happened just a couple of weeks later. And I lived in NYC then too cuz I grew up in Harlem.

@@JL-zg5bk Wanna know something else? I found out that she was originally cast as Zee in "The Matrix Reloaded" and she had already done some pre-production shooting for it with Harold Perinneau. But she died, so they did a big recasting and went with Nona Gaye. Nona Gaye did an okay job but man I would've LOVED to have seen how Matrix 2 and 3 would've been with her in it. She actually was an incredible actress too. She (IMO) acted her ass off in Romeo Must Die.
