I remember watching this film as a 14-year-old boy then a Muslim, with my father. My father a Muslim, was stunned and marveled at this miracle. I can't forget the look on his face. he was moved by this miracle. I'm now 53 and a born again Christian. I gave my life when I was a teenager. And I am happy I made that live changing decision.

We are unaware of this miracle because we have become dull and look to the world for answers, when all the time it is within us. Like a flower we need the light that is within, when we allow our mind which is a shadow to steer us, then we become lost. This is what all masters that have come have taught us, some listen, some are interested, and some want to know the truth and follow. Don't be afraid of the shadow as it is just an 'Absence' of light, it is not real. Truth must be experienced never thought about, just like our breath is an experience, and within that breath is light which is forever it is eternal.

Friday evening, october 5th, been with wife to father Cristian for confession. Jesus said: Luke 7 14 “Young man, I say to you, arise.” the young man oblidged ... not to just a 'great prophet', but to the Word of God Himself who orders and it is done ... and young man, made by His likeness, began to speak ... the word of truth ... Then father Cristian concluded: Jesus performed 3 risings from dead: this, Jairus’ Daughter and (Kings II I 17 21) Lazarus ... but the 4th ... His ressurection, was greater than all ...

I remember watching this as a kid when it was a mini series on NBC back in the mid 70's. Still one of the best versions around. It wasn't until years later that I was told about a small but significant characterisitc in this film. When JESUS is on screen...never to do you see Him blink. Gives you the true feeling that He is always watching over us unworthy servants.

You do. You even see him turning and rolling his eyes to look around to others. But yes, it is true you get to see him in many scenes looking straight at the camera unblinking, what was very early on in Cinema used to have been always told actors to avoid and directors did stop them or cut off on scene or at editing. It was a line crossed by Garbo, that was risky but made her career and became her trademark. She could master it like no others trying it, people went to see her films just to get those moments...it was said men felt chest palpitations and fell off their seats, like women went to fill cinemas for those moments they felt connected to Rod Valentino and faintings ensued to many more, very emotionally sensitive. In some moments the hair and make up applied to Powell, makes him appear like those early images of Christ in the Eastern Empire known as the Pantocrator. Jesus in his post Resurrection full Glory achieved, when all souls had been ransomed by his Blood washing all sin

I was 5 or 6 years old when this amazing movie came out. Me and my 3 yr old sister cried 😢. How on earth did we know ? The Holy Spirit touched us at the age of innocence, beautiful 😍 ❤

imagine how it was for the people that were there that day..... To God Be the Glory.

No matter what color eyes my Lord Jesus Yeshua had is not significant ….I was so moved by this movie that I never went back into another direction...I was into buddhism, hinduism, different types of meditation retreats and never felt peace of mind until I came back to Jesus ….for me it was a confirmation that Jesus is lord of lords ...saviour and messiah....Jesus died for all of our sins.... we must all repent.

This scene moves me to tears..... it is such a powerful portrayal of the miracle.....I have no idea what it was like to witness this, but this evokes the feeling of AWE and WONDER that surely moved through the crowd when the Lord shouts 'Lazarus come forth!' and he exits the tomb....

Jesus is not God Almighty... He is God's son..he himself proves that when he prayed to his Father in heaven because he heard his prayer.. also proving that all who die do not go to heaven...of what benifit would it prove to remove lazarus from heaven if he really went there after his death and bring him back to die on earth again.. @@rafaelviafranco4962 Jesus is god he called himself i am the same thing god called himself in the old testament and also the father the son and the holy spirit are equal in power but the son lowered himself making himself lower then the angels and surrendering to the father and does his father's will. When he became human he had to live a human life so he had to pray he had to eat and sleep and other things.

I saw born 6 years after this was film. I saw it for the first time when I think I was 3. My parents and family told me that this was the only thing I would watch as a child, on repeat.

I always crying when i see this scene....its the most powerful from all.....the message of my Lord Jesus....

Yes Jesus has the power to resurrect dry bones.. I was suffering with tuberculosis since 2 yrs and was reduce to bones literally.. I was not diagnosed correctly so I lost time in treatment... I did not think I would live.. but the Lord covered my bones with flesh and today I am healthy by Grace of the living God.. all glory to Him

The Jews at the time believed that a person's soul hung around for 3 days after which the soul went to Heaven or elsewhere.That's why Jesus waited the 3 day period so everyone would accept Lazarus as to being dead.So,when Jesus called Lazarus forth,the miracle would be realized by the witnesses.This was also meant to foretell His(Jesus's) own Resurrection.

@@sukruoostenThe day the person died was considered the 1st day, then tomorrow 24 hours later is the end of day2,24 hours later day 3 has ended.I asked a local Rabbi and he said it was one last 24 hor period.We in the West wait one calendar day.To us it looks like 3 days but to the Jewish custom.of the time it was 4 days.Thank you for setting it straight.😁

@@sukruoosten The reason 3 days stuck with me was that Jesus died on a Friday to avoid the Jews getting upset on it happening on Saturday their Sabbath.Day 2 Sat. And day 3 on Sunday he rose.That's why Easter is celebrated on a Sunday.Some like to call it 4 days difference.For me and most Christian's it's 3 days.As I posted earlier that's how some people see it.Up above is my thought based upon the Bible.We don't need to quibble on it.You have your thoughts, I have mine, neither of us aten't going to change minds and name calling isn't going to bode well for anyone.I do thank you for your input.It will encourage proper discussion, one of the main reasons for You Tube.😁

This is the best Jesus movie ever (it's a mini-series but still). And Robert Powell potrays Jesus perfectly. Amazing and convincing. The music is so emotional and deep. All the other actors do it so well too.

Also just wanted to say, its not my place to judge people who do not believe. My husband was athiest, then after my experience he is now open minded. Jesus loves all the non believers, it is not our place to be rude to any blogger who does not believe.

When my dd passed away, this part of the bible came to my mind. I believ with l my heart that Jesus is the way the truth and the life. He is the bridge between us and God.

I cried watching this now at 60 years old as I did in 1977 watching it on my parents living room floor at 14.

I love the transition of the actor’s face, as if he becomes possessed and superior being when he shouts “Lazarus, come forth!” Zeffirelli trully lifted this film to some heights
