"Jesus Lives" Scroll Saw Compound Cut
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
A compound cut on a scroll saw cuts on two sides (or two faces) of the wood, as opposed to one. The result of doing a compound cut is that you end up with a 3-D finished product. If you are new to compound cuts it can seem a little intimidating, but I would encourage you to throw caution to the wind and give it a try.
This particular project, “Jesus Lives”, is a Steve Good pattern and you can find it, for free, at www.scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com. This particular project is made from some old pine…from an old tobacco warehouse from at least the 1920’s…that I had left from my recent workbench build. The dimensions for the blank for this project is 1.5” x 1.5” x 8”. I’m using a #12 blade which was chose based on the thickness of the project blank.
