JESUS EXPLAINS THE END OF THE WORLD IDOLS--YOU MUST AVOID
Satan Always Targets the Same Three Areas
The Apostle John in 1 John 2:15-17 explains the world we are not to befriend or love is all the lusts and evil desires packaged in varied shapes, sizes, and colors...that always fall into one of three categories:
1 John 2:15-17 (NKJV) Do not love [present active imperative] the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
The world operates by sending us temptations packaged as enticements from our lusts.
“Lust of flesh ”
We are tempted by the flesh to chase pleasures: this equals the cravings of the body.
Whether for food, pleasure, or fun: our bodies are built to crave and God says don’t allow your flesh to control your cravings.
God says those fleshly desires are worldly; and He is against that lust in any form in our lives.
“Lust of the eyes”
We are tempted by our eyes to chase stuff: this is lust for things.
Lest we think that this is not as bad as the lusts of the flesh, remember that covetousness (insatiable longing for more things) is as damnable as idol worship. That means that the lust for possessions is as wicked as the lust for immorality.
Beware of both, they are deadly!
“Pride of life”
We are tempted by pride to chase status: this equals the boasting of the mouth.
This is selfishness because I’m most important.
This is irritableness because life revolves around me.
This is untruthfulness because I need to protect myself.
This is laziness because I want to rest and comfort myself.
All of these are pride--as well as obvious lust for status and special recognition.
Pride in all its forms is heinous to God.
When Jesus met the Devil in the wilderness, His only resource was God's Word-and that is the weapon Satan fears.

Amen brother! As born again believers in Christ. We must always remember to crucify our flesh each and everyday, pick up our cross and follow Jesus.
This is why jesus said that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Money is not bad. But once it turns to coveting, it is a god to you, even when you think you are in charge.

He that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called; accounting that God was able to raise him up even from the dead. Note the expression, his only begotten son. We cannot read it without being reminded that God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. In Abraham's offering his only begotten son we have a figure of the offering of the only begotten Son of God.
We cannot alter Revelation...not wiithout severe consequences...and yet it is a very hard book to understand which ties in with many points which are scattered throughout the Holy Bible...This is just one of the many gifts from God. You see, it is a mental exercise for unscrambling our thought patterns. Slowly a picture emerges of Jesus being inaugurated in Heaven, with Almighty God's highest officials offering their allegiance to him whilst his thoughts turn to us. We don't need to understand Revelation, just observe it as it unfolds. This will give us confidence in the promise, the resurrection, and the need to follow Jesus to the Promised Land, regardless of the obstacles the unrighteous will throw at us.

Avoid any false Idols, popes, allah's, dream catchers, qu'ran, statues, Mary worship, money like the teacher related, there are lots of false Idols,

@@Quicksweex where Allah come from? I don’t claim him. Allah is also the pyramid which is also the number of Pi. The pyramid turns into a pentagon a 5 sided star. Look for Davinci drawing of man inside a pentagram star. 5 is the number of God. Allah= arm, leg, leg, arm, head.

Thanks DTBM there is music mentioned in KJV musick has two spellings music and musick, both have 20 verses or less. And it seem music is sounds from instruments basically and musick is more about the intentions of lyrics good or evil. Thank you and when you find the time there are 50 verses with harp in them? Gots me thinking Jubilee, anyway in Isiah 30:32 there is a statement and on the timeline where does this verse belong? Is this happening during the great supper of God in Revelation 19:17 and Ezekiel 39:17? and it’s 2024A.D roughly 1992yers since 32A.D. In these near 2K years, there have been puttin near 40, 50 year periods. and by Isiah 30:26 at the brightness of his coming. That maybe when do you or have you thought about this? Thanks

It is if it consumes you, it is if you have no time for the things of God or your family because of your putting your work first. It's part of the American culture unfortunately. God is a jealous God. He promises us our "daily bread" , we need to believe Him. It's so easy to trust in your job to provide instead of God but it does free you up.

No it does not you are correct… we have basic needs and even the disciplines were called to earn their keep. I believe what DR. Barnett meant was It’s if all you think about is how to and getting more and more and make it an idol in your life then it becomes a problem because you can’t serve God and your money at the same time. im blessed to have next to nothing. a bed a fan 2 blankets a couple towels for a pillow clothes shoes a cpap machine enough food and this laptop. the laptop can burn for all i care the rest is usefull for now

Ok, Imposter John knows full well that Jesus didn’t say these things, it’d be pointless trying to write in the sand the English words that no one could comprehend. These verses from the Biblical narrative that Imposter John quotes were curated by Scribes, a thousand years later…as means to beguile the illiterate. You should all be aware of a wolf in Shepards clothing. I’d also suggest you take care, when Hoggot dresses itself as the Lamb.

I’ve found that the easiest way to overturn tables of Dove sellers, is to place a Feather on one end of their Market Table and then suggest they place the Weight of their own Heart on the other end.
