Hell’s Coming With Me
(Written by Jessta James)
(Chorus)
I’m that howlin’ in the wind
I’m that storm that’s closing in
Boy, I’m coming
The thunder rolls and the mountains shake
These barrels smoke from the souls they take
Yeah, I’m coming
And Hell’s coming with me
(Verse)
This fire in my eyes will flash like lightning from my soul
Heart just like a raven’s wing, turns black when it grows cold
The taste of sweet revenge, it’ll cost you more than gold
And the wages of our sins will seal our fate to one below
Now, I’ m a man of God, but boy you’ve gone and crossed that line
So I’ll be that pale horse rider and vengeance will be mine
(Chorus)
I’m that howlin’ in the wind
I’m that storm that’s closing in
Boy, I’m coming
The thunder rolls and the mountains shake
These barrels smoke from the souls they take
Yeah, I’m coming
And Hell’s coming with me
(Verse)
That song that reaper sings, well, it’s one as old as time
And I’ve felt those angels come for me, more than once or twice
And I know one day I’ll face them scales, but I pray it’s not today
‘Cause the cold steel I hold in these hands, have one more song to play
Once you’ve spilled one drop of blood, you can’t remove the stain
But I’ve got some scores to settle, Lord, and each bullet has a name
(Chorus)
I’m that howlin’ in the wind
I’m that storm that’s closing in
Boy, I’m coming
The thunder rolls and the mountains shake
These barrels smoke from the souls they take
Yeah, I’m coming
And Hell’s coming with me
(Bridge)
I’ll bring the fire from below
Where there ain’t no tomorrows
I’ll probably end up where you go
Might be my legacy
I guess we’ll see
‘Cause Hell’s coming with me
(Outro)
Oh yeah
Yeah, Hell’s coming with me
Oh yeah
Hell’s coming with me, yeah
Hell’s coming with me, yeah
I said Hell’s coming with me

KZread is on a roll today. Wow. That voice shook me. Seriously. This is badass.
I’m speechless. The tune in the beginning making you feel like your life has entered an old western film. Of which your riding a horse staring off into the distance wondering when your ride will end, knowing it will come to an end sooner than you hope, but not before your entirely exhausted of the ride. 👊🐎
For such a brief period in our nation’s history (late 1800’s to early 1900’s) the Cowboy and the western way of life are alive and well! Love the video and the song! Keep on keeping on Double J! 🤠

@@RichardNicolasJones the flu killed 97% of the Indigenous population shortly after the Spanish landfall. countless tribes of peoples and their entire cultures were snuffed out by disease within one generation. the ships brought so much more than just smallpox- the Native Americans had a massive, complex society with access to metallurgy, medicine, art, large-scale construction, industrial farming, and sophisticated trade lines stretching from the ancient Central American homeland of the Aztecs all the way up to the Inuit of Alaska. Then numerous sicknesses never before witnessed by the Indigenous Peoples wiped them out overnight, and their glorious and rich cultural history- along with any lessons we could have learned from them- has been all but extinguished, completely lost to humanity forever. Basically- they were doing just fine until colonizers and their pathogens showed up

I’m a year late, and I’m just hearing of him for the first time, but god damn. I hope to god I hear this more. I wish my grandfather could’ve heard this song. He would’ve loved this. The lyrics, and your voice. The way you strum the strings. He’d love it all. I know I do. Edit: my grandmother would love it too. She’s Cherokee and Sioux native. She grew up on a reservation. She loved outlaw history and country music. She’d always tell me stories of “the cowboy who came to visit” and how everyone would judge her for running off with “the colonizer.”
