If you’re a FAN of SNSD since their rookies day. You know that only Jessica can cover TaeYeon.. and there are times Jessica knows herself she can’t cover it. Like that one performance where nobody cover TaeYeon high note. Jessica knows she can do it, but Jessica also knows that only TaeYeon can do justice to the notes

Thanks for making this clip! This again proves that jess is trained at the same level with taeyeon and she did hit all of those high notes without any single out of tune. Sad that you didnt include the genie performance without taeyeon in an off air busan performance. Jessica covered the entire taeyeon’s adlib at the final part of song while seohyun and tiff carry the chorus.. maybe bcs there is no official broadcast recording, only fancams but it was amazing!

She can, obviously. But because Jessica's voice is pretty unique, it sounds not quite the same for the parts when Taeyeon sings them. That's what they meant. It is just about missing the timbre, not about Taeyeon's ability. I find most songs are fine, but The Boys. The Boys without Jessica feels really off to me.

taeyeon initially sounded insecure when singing. she would always hide her face when hitting the high notes. jessica would just hit it if it went flat or not she didnt seem to have a complex. of course now they both have amazing vocals

Heck only one of them is enough outlast 3rd gen + 4th gen combined.

That’s why you cannot just put 9 girls in a group to recreate the same magic again. Find the group a “TaengSic” first then combining girls with variety of extreme talents and visuals. Twice can never reach SNSD level. Twice’s songs are catchy but SNSD’s songs are untouchable.

i just realised that taeyeon's voice in the past wasn't sound nasalic. but after jessica left, her voice tend to be quite nasalic. perhaps sm wanted snsd's songs to be not sound so different with the absence of jessica

@@mlee.a9002 LOL jess vocals literally got no praises or great remarks from seniors and music critics in the industry unlike Tae,her musicals and osts flopped, While Tae kept topping charts since "if" and TTS era and got praises from jyp amongst other big names in the industry, also jess physical performance digressed and so she was no where a threat to Tae.. infact SM saw Tae as an asset since she was more loved by Korean GP and had a larger fanbase, the most obvious reason jess got kicked out possibly bcos her business was linked to her controversial bf who was rumoured to be a scammer and lured investors using SNSD brand name

Jessica and Taeyeon can cover each other parts with ease like seriously they are singing like twins The problem is that both will get eventually strain their vocal chords as the song progresses It’s true that Jessica is irreplaceable since she is basically Taeyeon’s other half but it’s doesn’t mean that or this song is “ruined” Different does not equal “bad or better.” SNSD would rather cover Jessica’s parts themselves than to have a entirely new person sing it.

Many people say Jessica and Taeyeon are main vocal, Yes Jessica is good But I feel like Taeyeon more, Taeyeon has a sweet and strong voice and I really comfortable with her voice. I prefer to Taeyeon.
