@@hohoho8031 maybe the person was trying to say that Jessi's beauty is not fit in the Korean's standard for beauty because Jessi fits more the West's beauty. Korean beauty is actually exceptional but the problem is that they are not very open when it comes to their standard and always stick to the norms (which is white skin) but more and more idols are breaking those norms such as Lee hyori, Jessi, Hyoyeon, Hwasa and Kai (I can't think of more but there are more now than before), they are rocking the industry without sticking to the standard. 🙂

It's probably 'underrated'(probably more ignored, as I think those that pay attention generally appreciate it) because it's not the usual superficial tiktok-able hype, even with this song I've seen multiple people respond more to the most superficial part of the song('siri can you block that' isn't exactly deep in isolation) Unfortunately it seems music is increasingly becoming the least important part of...music, even moreso with kpop fans. She seemed disappointed herself that (predictably) Nunu Nana performed far better than this song, not exactly a source of inspiration for putting your heart into the music.

She’s not the type for Eastern Asian countries like South Korea, specially males. Like Japan, their country is more male-biased, and strong personality females pushes male fans away. She is the type of artist who promotes female self love etc., so I believe that most of her fans are females (like me).

It’s bcos she doesn’t fit the cute, innocent, sweet female type in Korea. If u travel to Korea/Japan, all the girls are in high heels 👠 and it’s a male dominated culture.
