5 years ago, I struggled with major anxiety & depression. That was the time I quit my toxic job, finished a toxic relationship - and I blamed myself for all this mess. One day I switched the channel to MTV & saw this music video from Jess. I cried a bucket full of tears because she was like speaking to me through this song. The song's message helped me learn to forgive and let go. Now back to the present: I am up on my feet! Though things may still be difficult, I believe in myself & I take things one at a time. I hope more songs like this will be written!!! Jess is such an awesome artist! 💚💚💚

A real Cure for stress , anxiety and depression. I wish more artists could dedicate themselves to the production of the kind of energy and power that this song carries.

One of the most underrated artists in our generation. Been listening to her non-stop during this pandemic. There's something about her voice that soothes me. And her lyrics in this song is 100% helping me with my anxiety.

I think all the best artist come from the UK! There are many very good ones, with amazing voices in the US but most of them are very alike! The UK just has so many artists with amazing and very discting voices, they are so creative, and most artists are very different from each other! There is so much diversity in the UK! Almost everyone of my favourite artist are from the UK!

8 years later, I’m here to say THANK YOU JESS for making this song!! You have no idea how much it comforted me when I struggled with depression in 2015. The days and nights tears rolled down my face with this in background, feeling like I had to push on a little longer. A year later, I met Jesus and my life hasn't been the same. It’s uplifting. This song and its lyrics are inspirational to live by. Everyone in life faces problems - sometimes those problems makes us feel hopeless - like no matter how hard you try in life things never go right. You start to doubt whether you or your efforts matter anymore but then the reality is - there are so many things in our life that are out of control. There is only so much you can do, you just have to accept reality for what it is and go with the flow with life and 'Don't Be So Hard On Yourself'. Thank you Jess Glynn for this song, it has helped me get through life and it's a song I'll never forget.

This song has such an important message about self-compassion and self-forgiveness that I really need at the moment, and I'm sure so many others need too. I'm someone who's extremely hard on myself to the point of OCD, so this song really speaks to my struggles. Love you Jess!

Amazing talent, she's natural , pure talent, doesn't pretend be someone she isn't. Love her and she writes all her own songs.

This song never gets old. It still gives me goosebumps.

I realized my like for this song disappeared .....HOW?! This song healed me.... i had a very difficult time in my early years of university. Sister had cancer...i got sick..and a lot of other stuff..... i played this on repeat ...along with seeing a therapist for my pain. I just want to say thank you to this girl. Your lyrics healed me...cause i started to believe it with the amount of time i listen to it. It re-wired my brain 🌹

I don't understand why Jess Glynne is taking so long to take flight. She's got a meagre 278K subscribers and I know, I know, she is damn successful, but when I compare her to some of today's artists she totally blasts them away, and still is not as popular, it just doesn't make sense to me. Her music, her voice, her appearance and her attitude is incredible. She's an amazing musician.

I reckon she'll get best female artist and best newcomer if she wasn't nominated last year. Album wise I reckon she won't get a nomination, the Brits are not so fond of pop albums. So far I think Florence and the Machine are front runners for a nomination and winner Imo. I doubt Jess will win any other Brit awards.

I've listened to this song ever since it came out. No matter how old you are, or what you're dealing with, there will always be the trap of being too hard on yourself. This song is a gem and reminds me not to feed the "bad wolf". Thank you for this song. It helps me and I bet a lot of other people. No matter what the age is of the song or the people listening to it.

This song has a powerful message, I am trying each day to not be so hard on me, as everyone makes mistake. I work hard to leave it behind me and to forgive those who betrayed me. They did me a favour, forced me to move onto better things, sometimes things happen for a reason. But this process cannot be rushed and I have to be patient, when all I wanna do is be over it.
