I don't think Master KG ever expected this song to be sung by almost every work team of every company in South Africa and now also by the Stellenbosch University Choir. Fantastic arrangement and performance!

It's beautiful but it can't be in the Lion King, because what the lyrics mean and stand for does not go with it. The song is a prayer to YAHWEH to take one to the heavenly Jerusalem described in the BIBLE. So nope. Lion King is one of my favourite animations, by the way.

But there are not only boys, there are also ladies. It is the most beautiful choir I have ever heard. And what I especially like is that white and black singers sing together in the most beautiful way. And André van der Merwe is an absolutely top conductor. Congratulations and warm greetings from Switzerland

This is amazing. If all South Africans could embrace each others differences and unite in harmony this country will be able to achieve so much more. Listening to this stunning choir gives me hope for a bright future in South Africa. I pray that all will allow the light to shine on other fellow South Africans and that we would unite like never before giving room for each person to grow and achieve success. This is a great country with so much potential. Let's build instead of breakdown. Lose the fight to win the battle.

What a Joy to find this through the power of the internet. Some seventy years ago, I was introduced to Afrikaner music, through the songs of Marais and Maria. Finding The Stellenbosch Choir while searching for more of their music has been a true blessing. A youngster from a small town in Pennsylvania found out that there is a whole world of music waiting to be sung and heard. Music that transcends borders and nationalism to bring their message to the world. For giving yourselves to the betterment of our world, I humbly Thank You. Pete

When studying music at the University of Cape Town I sang for the Cape Town Youth Choir and met this choir at the choir Olympics in Austria. I was very impressed from that day on. Both choirs took some very vital victories that year. Great to see that people are still sing back home

Victor, like you, I am not from South Africa but I deeply love that country. I spent two memorable years there teaching in a mixed school, P.E. 1992-4. So much beauty of peoples and cultures there to offer the world. I pray for Justice, Harmony and Peace on everyone there.

Absolutely wonderful! I come from Ireland and many people love Ireland for it's green fields and nature. I would love to invite this choir to Ireland, perhaps on St. Patrick's day, spread their sound and put Ireland on it's head. I am sure the Irish would join in. The sound of Africa is within us all.

A student from Lydenburg was in the choir but I can't see her. I was not expecting to cry at 22h35 on a Monday evening before turning off the light. Magnificent. Reminds me of my days in the Potchefstroom University Choir twenty years + ago under Prof Awie Van Wyk.

Just when you think things cant get any better, this is just outstanding brilliant fantastic arrangement voices melting together black white and every colour inbetween makes me proud to be human, guys you have done just brilliant stellenbosch should glowing with pride, who needs instruments when you have voices like these, your voices are instruments with no limits thank you, voices together as one !

Now it’s time for Andre van der Merwe to arrange an equally stunning choral version of the most beautiful love song on earth; the Swahili love song, Malaika. Only this arranger and choir could do something really special with it. They have sung beautifully in Swahili with their rendition of Baba Yetu.

@@felicitascunningham9008 yes. Baba Yetu is Our Father in Kiswahili. They are pretty much singing the whole prayer. One of the guys in the front of the choir says it in English at the end.
