    I think Jerry does believe that Callahan sabotaged the game. He doesn't really want to say for sure, but notice how he never mentions his name, or even refers to him as Coach. He says "that individual." I think he's still upset about it as well as acting like he doesn't remember Barrett Robbins' name. I don't blame him, I'm still mad about it, too

    In New England we have been wondering the same thing after this years SB loss, Butler plays nearly every play all year and then in the SB he rides the pine. The defense played terrible and Bill never even gave him a chance. All the Pats needed was a couple of stop. I think even great coaches can over think it. We will never know.

    You just started wondering last year? lol lol. Your instincts are correct, NE threw last year's Super Bowl, just like Seattle threw theirs to you a few years ago. The NE-ATL Super Bowl was strange from top to bottom. ATL clearly threw the game in the 2nd half, but it was odd how dominant their running game was in the 1st half. NE wouldn't have even made last year's Super Bowl if the NFL didn't overturn Myles Jack's TD in the championship game. Everybody knows what's happening but the NFL is WWE-level entertainment

    @@BRockin25 facts. NFL isn't rigged. It's scripted. The winner of these games are pre determined by Vegas and the media. What's crazy is an Eagles fan that our SB was rigged too. A perfect underdog story. This year's SB wasn't rigged. Cuz KC can't put up a TD with a Fraud Coach and QB. But because the Saints abandoned the Blitz in the Divisional. And Tampa was 0-5 vs Teams that Blitz. Saints blitzed in both regular season games. And they suddenly abandon it to give Brady time in the pocket.

  • @BRockin25

    @BRockin25

    This years SB was strange. 2 pretty evenly matched teams, should have been a good game. But Mahomes was very uncharacteristically bad (he was throwing the game), and refs stepped in any time Brady was about to screw up and make the game close lol. TB didn’t need help to win, but them winning in this fashion (and with the embarrassing penalty disparity in the 1st half) was rigging no doubt. NFL saw how Brady threw those 3 INT in a half, and barely missed 2 more the previous game and said that isn’t happening again.

    Jerry may not have known the passing philosophy the Raider had: The receiver (for the most part) gets his eyes back to QB as the ball is thrown. The O-line has to hold for a bit more, and they did. Gruden knew that, and thus could anticipate the routes and defense schemes. Callahan couldn't change the DNA dynamic in a week or so , he panicked and changed the whole Offense .

    There’s three possible reasons Callahan changed strategies right before the game: 1: He never really wanted to do the run-heavy gameplan, and changed his mind and went back to their trusted strategy of passing until Gannon’s arm falls off. 2: Callahan never changed their language on offense, so Gruden would know what was coming anyways. For some reason, Callahan decided that passing gave them the best chance to win. 3: Callahan just wanted out of Oakland, and made decisions that he knew would fuck up the team.

    Electro Duck Callahan may have thought that they could beat Tampa’s defense by passing. You have an MVP QB in Rich Gannon and a receiving duo of the eternally underrated Tim Brown and the greatest wideout that ever lived. Callahan may have decided that Charlie Garner (their running back) was not going to be successful against Warren Sapp and Simeon Rice and their best chance of winning was to throw.

    Electro Duck The Raiders offense in 2002 was old. Tim Brown was 36, Jerry Rice was 40, and Rich Gannon was 37. Changing the language would’ve been too difficult, and those three probably would’ve gone back to the old style. Aaron Rodgers apparently did the same thing last year.

    I don’t buy it at all. A man who was at the absolute pinnacle of his profession and about to coach the biggest game of his life would deliberately lose? Bull. Fact is, Bill Callahan didn’t change the verbiage or signals from Gruden’s iteration of the West Coast offense. Couple that with having to face a top-ten defense of all time, and it’s no wonder that Super Bowl 37 was catastrophic. Sorry, but there’s no shot that Bill Callahan - or any other coach - would sabotage the biggest game of their lives.

Tom Brady tuck rule was a made up rule. Some of you remember that. Raiders was cheated because the NFL hated Al Davis. That's my opinion and if you don't know, do some research on why, I feel this way about it. I'm surprised it took this long for someone to say something. adamrawson22yahoocom Yeah you are right about Tuck rule being real but it was still not called correctly. The tuck rule states that a player cannot fumble when bringing the ball forward to pass even if he does not throw but instead pumps, the ball cannot be fumbled until he either tucks the ball or brings the ball back up to pass. A tuck is defined as cradling the ball with one arm against your chest or putting "two" hands on the ball. Brady had put his left hand on the ball when Woodson stripped it. It was by definition of the Tuck rule tucked and therefore a fumble.

    The reason why Bill Callahan changed the game plan to SuperBowl 37 was Barrett Robins incident who was the Center and went AWOL on the team and took a trip to Mexico, Backup center couldn't learn the playbook in two day's which is BS cause your the backup meaning you should of been paying attention to the play calls and formations of the teams guess he was doing something else,but back to Callahan according to Tim Brown the playbook was a running the ball and everything Gruden taught them was in different formation so the Bucs were caught off guard but since Barret Robins disappear and the back up Center didn't learn the playbook in time Callahan desided to keep every formation, schemes, routes, and formation of Grudens West Coast Offense in the game and that's what the Bucs prepared for that week and they won the game 48-21

    I think Callahan was pissed at Al for not paying him enough to be HC and Callahan hated Gannon, Rice, Brown and Garner because they pushed back against his stupid game plan and he thought he would help his buddy Gruden out. Callaghan did not care to be a HC in the NFL (where is he now) and just want ed to back to the college game where players are forced to do what you want them to do. Grudge built the offense in Oak and just had Callahan as his bitch who he could blame when things went bad. Any you have to wonder what Callahan said/did to Barrett Robbins to make him lose his shit just before the SB. Bucs fans know if Gruden was on the other sideline, the Raiders win that SB. Gruden came back to the Raiders to fix this by winning a SB so Raider Nation will forget this forever.
