i saw this as a kid. The scene where everyone in the projector film slides sideways had me laughing for a week!

So clever to have the movie scene move with the plane movements.

I have flown in that exact Tri-Motor. Such a masterpiece of Art Deco design, and LOUD, but a great experience on board a piece of aviation history.

Lewis said it was hard to film the Captain Eddie sequence, because he'd finally found a character that was too goofy for even him not to crack up...

I remember watching this In the 90s as a kid. My siblings and I would rewind the scene where his chair broke and he slid through the plain laughing. I'm sure my parents got tired of it by the 30th rewind.

Anne Baxter was a major hottie 🥰 Her role as Irene Adler to Peter Cushing Sherlock Holmes, was her final role and she was so lovely. 🥰

When the seat finally gives and Jerry's sliding through the isle had to be a highlight for me..

This was my ALL-TIME FAVORITE solo Jerry Lewis film as a kid! I watched it so many times, I have the whole thing practically engraved on my brain. Lewis was a genius!

Always loved those old Ford tri motors.

If it wasn't funny enough, the very thought of having the movie characters also experience turbulence is pure comic genius! If anyone watching this says it wasn't funny, my reply would be you have no sense of humor. This was hilarious!

I agree with you Nanette! Jerry brought me so much laughter and joy as a kid - his movies were an integral part of my childhood. To this day, I am a fan of his comedic genius. It's really sad that we lost him, but at least he lived a long and amazingly productive life.

I just watched it last night. It was $4 to rent on KZread.

Love the Rube Golberg film projector...too

And the air charter went out the window,so he went round and round,and landed on the same place,that he departure.

I've always loved jerry lewis by himself not with dean martin. I wish they would put the full clip of the patsy. Jerry Lewis has been my all time favorite comedian. R.I.P. MISTER LEWIS.

Oh Jerry is my favorite too! He is the best! The most talented and gorgeous! However, I also loved him and Dean together! Great team! Nothing like it! Their colgate comedy hour was just superb! Dean was also an amazing performer! :)

IT IS a Ford Tri-Motor. . .And this very plane is STILL FLYING. . .it's owned by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and was fully restored by them. . .They fly it around the country to show it and they even offer rides in it. . .I saw it about 2 years ago at a small airport in Newton, Kansas just north of Wichita. . .I was able to go inside and take as many pictures as I wanted. . .Even got up in the cockpit to take photos. . .They have a plaque on the passenger entry door detailing the history of this plane, and it includes that it was the plane used in this movie. . .

I don't know if it's true but I read that ony the french find him funny. His films have very rarely appeared on UK tv in recent years. Never been my cup of tea his loud goofyness can come across as mugging. I don't think he understood that sometimes underplaying is the best option.
