Jeremy Irons - The Hunting of the Snark (an Agony in 8 Fits)
Jeremy Irons reads Lewis Carroll's famous nonsensical poem. The plot follows a crew of ten trying to hunt the Snark, which may turn out to be a highly dangerous Boojum. The poem is dedicated to young Gertrude Chataway, whom Carroll met at the English seaside town Sandown in the Isle of Wight in 1875.

Jeremy Irons is and always will be one of the greats.
"Keeping healthy and keeping safe" - then he has a drag on a roll up. Pure magic...
It is not nonsense. It is quite supreme advice.
This poem isn't nonsense at all.
A wonderful and captivating reading, only enhanced, I think, by the unusual online format - it seemed almost as if Jeremy Irons was reading just for me. I can't help but think that this surreal poem is strangely pertinent to these times, when everything feels slightly off and unfamiliar yet is still able to be interesting and illuminating nonetheless. Let's just hope that a Boojum doesn't make that quality of day-to-day life disappear.
If you close your eyes and listen, you can see scar talking, which makes sense because he played that character
Amo este actor, lo amo, saludos desde Monterrey Nl
I sub because I hear Sir Jeremy 💝💖💝
Jeremy, thank you, one of my favorites, well rendered
My favorite reading of this wonderful, imaginative poem.
So the ultimate question of Life, the Universe, and Everything, was "How many boxes did the Baker leave behind on the beach?'.
Thank you Jeremy Irons, for a great reading of the Snark. Taking the time to do this in these times is well appreciated👍
¡UNO DE LOS MÁS GRANDES ACTORES DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS¡
GREAT! THANK YOU SO MUCH.
ONLY the great Jeremy Irons could read this cold make it live like this.
super!
Jeremy must be a bit lonely now his main challenger in wonderful English speaking accent, Alan Rickman, who I still have a mad passion for....is (sniff!) now (slight sob) is now (subtle catch in throat) GONE!!!! (loud weeping and wailing!!!!!) tis true. I loved both Irons in "Brideshead Revisited" and in many other fillums.
