@@ghenulo Have you seen any opinion polls in the last two years? Or maybe heard about the election results? Labour are at around 45% overall, with around 55% support among younger voters. Jones and Corbyn are speaking to a small fringe. I respect them both, share their values and concerns, but just think they need to reconnect with reality a bit more. The reality is that the UK is a two-party system with FPTP - a system which has given a huge advantage to the Tories and made it very hard for the Labour to win elections. Labour has only ever won from the centre. That's why Corbyn's 2019 results were so weak, and that's why Starmer's chances in 6 weeks are looking much better. The biggest risk for him is that people like Corbyn or Jones will help the Tories by seeking revenge. Revenge is never a good motivation - being driven by revenge shows weakness of character.

He is absolutely correct about reclaiming public utilities from the private sector. The primary goal of the private is to make profit for themselves. The cost of every public utility and service to the taxpayer, has risen exponentially since they were privatised. This is not a result of provisional costings, restructuring, innovation, research and development or wages. We had all those things when they were public, and there were never, consistently, exploding price hikes and deteriorating services like there is now. Privatisation of the public sector was a short sighted, short term money grab, which the public have been paying for ever since.

Exactly and a Corbyn led Labour would of sought to reverse the above. The rich bastards will never easily give up their wealth. The general public have been very slow to wake up to how all this works. Media ruined him. And still strong enough to stand. That's a leader.
What a great bloke 😁👍
Fantastic journalism - egoless, informed and pertinent questions and response. Such a rare thing. Thankyou NM team you are doing wonderful work we appreciate you ❤
Islington North have the best MP there is. I believe they know this, I believe they've the good sense to carry on this tradition.

Haha, of course they will, the ICC was always a joke but has now condemned itself by allowing itself to become a tool of politicized lawfare against a democracy engaging in a military response to a pogrom.

Has anybody in public office been more ruthlessly and systematically slandered and smeared than Corbyn? I've obviously never agreed with him on every matter. But the way he was treated serves as a showcase of the functioning of British media and the British power elites, of which the current Labour Party is an integral part.
Corbyn...we missed a great chance for a better world.

Well done JC. But Nadia, Zara, Dawn, John, Andy etc should do the same. I could not in good conscience stand to be a Labour MP as it is at the moment.
The Labour party at the moment are not worthy of that name. I've voted Labour for over 40 years but wont be supporting this lot. Good luck Jeremy , I wish you well.

I voted for Corbyn but ultimately his kindness was his greatest weakness. Starmer and the Blairites took full advantage of it.

But i think he’s learnt from that. We can only bring about change by changing & people like Jeremy will bring change if we vote for a third way. I’ve lived through Thatcherism & witnessed our Utilities being sold off, we need to vote for candidates that will genuinely do what they say. Which is none of the 2 main parties! Don’t fall for the mainstream lies use your vote wisely. I think now is a perfect opportunity because neither party is offering anything just more of the same rubbish arguments
