I would say the way Jere said everything was wrong and just out of nowhere but ultimately he was right. If Conrad loved her, he should’ve fought for her and kept her and cherished her no matter what he was going through. He knew she had loved him since forever and he kind of took advantage of her in a way by messing with her when things got tough. Like when he said “I knew I never should’ve started anything with you” or something like that just because things were tough. Jeremiah would stand up to his brother because of how much he had loved belly and had to watch her be in love with his brother and yet even after what she did to him, he still loved her and stayed by her side. Conrad would never stay no matter what but Jere would

I really believe that Conrad didn't want to leave belly. She didn't fought for them either. Like he was just so depressed and anxious. It's hard to fight sometimes just to get up in the morning. Let alone fight for someone else. Like ppl seem to forget that Yes Conrad let Belly go at prom but she initiated the breakup by assuming that it was what he wanted when he was just having a hard time having his mother dying and being a first year college student. I mean everyone says that Jer was living the same but him and Belly were not on speaking terms at that time so we could not know how he would have reacted. And even when you put two ppl in the same setting it doesn't mean they will react the same. Jer was absolutely wrong for calling his brother out like that. And bring up Belly that was just a nasty move. Just classic manipulation 101. Just like Jer in season 1.

I disagree, because Conrad’s mom is DYING so he gets an excuse to act like this. Belly shouldn’t have broke up with him bc he wasn’t acting all cheerful at her prom (which she begged him to go to) when his mom is dying. Conrad has different ways of going through grief, but they understood each other and if anyone took advantage of any one else is (IN THE BOOKS): when belly starts to kiss Conrad on the beach at the end of the 1st book while Conrad is sobbing. Conrad stayed and ended things to protect her which is one of the reasons he didn’t start anything because he knew she needed someone better. He was so hard on himself but he also was so deep in love and standing there while also trying to deal with his father, brother AND his dying mother. If anyone has an excuse it’s him.

I agree with Jere for the most part but that is his brother and Conrad never said anything cruel to Jere. To me the only part that annoyed me was when Jere brought up Belly when he didn’t know what went down and also when he brought up Conrad not being there for Susannah when Conrad went as often as he could. I love Jere but his wording and his aggression needs work

He knew Jere took her to the deb ball, he knew after they kissed and she told him she had a thing going with Jeremiah, and he said "Well do you wanna be with him?" and "Be with me then" Literally NO hesitation for his brother, or anything. He knew. He's not stupid, let's not treat the 18 year old brother who pushed her away all summer intentionally like a baby, dude has eyes and they all stay in the same house. Everything about him rubs me wrong. Even how he handled getting to actually date her, like how can you be so manipulative and toxic to disregard your brothers feelings even further- and lie to girl he loves saying he's been on this "weird high" happy and shit when he was obviously not during the entire weird exchange conrad forced on jere. That's pure selfishness at its finest. Istg It's like the two characters switched places from books to TV adaptations.

@@Jananabanana1 so are we just ignoring how manipulative jere was being? he knew because he saw them about to kiss and then shot a firework at them. then, later on he tried to get with her. HE KNEW, but he still got with belly. and Conrad didn’t just say “do you wanna be with him” and “be with me then” he stood there shocked for a second then asked the question. she said being with Conrad is all she’s ever wanted that’s why he said “okay, he with me then” also, you mentioned him ignoring her all summer then deciding to swoop in and “steal her from his brother”?? but his mom was literally DYING and he felt like he couldn’t tell anyone and it was REALLY hard on his mental health. but then, when everyone else knew, and all the weight wasn’t on his shoulders, he felt good enough with himself to date belly. AND right before their kiss he said “I’m sorry for being so shitty all summer” and she said that it’s okay because he was going through a lot on his own.

Jeremiah said Conrad dosent try to help and just throws it away like with the house, Conrad tried so hard and didn’t want anyone else to help cause he was trying so hard, and asking your brother for his blessing for a girl you and he likes is a mature way to handle it, I bet if Conrad didn’t do that Jeremiah would have been more mad

Not yall talking about Conrad going to school and how it's important when Conrad couldn't even make that argument for himself.. *Me going back to that scene when Jere finds the irresponsible nutcase of an older brother in the house like* "FUcK sChooL I doNt CarE" LOL 😂

They shouldn’t have got together in the first place . Belly said on the beach about just being there for him cause of everything he had going on and he’s the one that said no he wants to be with her . He begged his brother to be with her without even apologizing for taking her away from him . He couldn’t open up to her about his panic attacks and let her know he’s not okay , she would’ve been there for him , and now in the present day he really is considering being with her again ??? Wth is wrong with him , just so when his feelings get to much to handle break up with her . He lied about Jeremiah getting over them , now Jeremiah isn’t perfect but as of right now he seems to have a better grasp on himself , he knows what he wants and he isn’t beating around the bush . If Conrad cares at all he needs to move on and just work on himself , he’s not a good person right now and he can still be redeemed within himself he just needs to work on him mental health cause him allowing the lows to be his daily life is going to take a bigger toll .

Jeremiah, never use that kind of language with a girl, or more importantly your girlfriend! ⚡️🎯
