Renaming the the Jeopardy stage at Sony Pictures Studios the Alex Trebek stage is absolutely the”perfect”way to honor Alex’s memory. Alex Trebek may no longer be around as of November 8th 2020 but his legacy lives on”forever.”He’ll always be with us in spirit. & he’d be happy to know that Jeopardy is continuing to be strong on tv even without him. Bryce Garrett.

Having them honor Art Fleming was the right choice along with Alex Terbek. Those two were Jeopardy

I was looking up Art Fleming cause of death and he too died of pancreatic cancer. I first watched him on Jeopardy! when I was a child. I always wanted to be a contestant but life's problems got in the way. I am 65 years old now and have the time but, wonder if my reaction time on the buzzer would be slow. Matt Amodio is very good and quick; all my best to him and to you.

It’ll grow on them. Many didn’t like the 2008 theme and now that it’s gone, they’re missing it.

This is the debut of the newer, updated theme song, and the 1st full season without Alex Trebek. May he continue to #RIP. (1940 - 2020). Johnny Gilbert, who is still working @ 97, had made a guest-appearance in this taping, in a cameo @ 1:04.

Even though I miss Alex Trebek so much, I’m very happy to see Johnny Gilbert again. But things are not the same as it used to be.

The new intro, set, and modified theme are all ON POINT.

I find it hard to believe that Jeopardy’s long time announcer since day 1 in 1984 Johnny Gilbert is”93”years old. Johnny Gilbert looks more like he’s in his early to mid”50s”or”60s.” & he’s still”not”showing any signs of slowing down.Way to go,Johnny Gilbert. Bryce Garrett.

This is the 2008 theme but updated with extra instruments, also Wheel of Fortune brought back the 1983 theme

The stage, the music, the theme for the game, it's so awesome!

Does anyone agree with me that Jeopardy’s announcer Johnny Gilbert should be seen on camera more often each season. He’s”rarely”seen on camera each season except for when he does character voiceovers for certain categories in the first or second round of the game. Bryce Garrett.

jeopardy made a new intro since december 19 2023 and johnny gilbert is seen on camera saying "This is Jeopardy!"

Love the new theme song of jeopardy I didn’t see this theme song changing though I was like this sounds a little different when was the last time they changed this theme song sounds way better than the original version they just added more drums to it and the violin at the beginning goes up a note at the beginning

The new theme song is great & it’s like a remix! & it looks like they took the G.O.A.T Studio, pretty cool!

This really saved my bacon, I was gonna record the premiere but the network I was watching pre-empted the episode for a rerun from after the ToC earlier on in the year. I had to scramble really quickly to try to find one with the premiere, and of course I missed the opening titles. You can’t watch them all, but you know, premiere and such.

As of 2019 in my town it’s 2:00: Dr. Phil. 3:00: Jeopardy reruns. 3:30: Jeopardy - new episodes. 4:00: Local News (the 1/2 hour at 4:30 that used to be Jeopardy is now more news). 5:30: Evening News. 6:00: Local News. 6:30: Wheel of Fortune. This Change was made after Millionaire ended - it changed channels in 2009. Jeopardy has been on its current channel since 2008 (Wheel too).

At lease we only have to watch Mike Richards for one more week. However, I'm still happy to see Matt continue his winning streak.

On the Jeopardy subreddit, a couple of contestants that were there on Mike's one tape day said that he did have a longer intro speech that likely included a dedication from him. They edited that out due to...recent events. Mike did a great job in his introduction, but within a week, he was back to being the exec producer.

I hope we are going to see a clean version of the all new 2021 remix version of the 2008 Jeopardy! theme song for season 38!

they could of at least gotten a major intro update like they did in previous years honestly tho i did not see this theme song change coming. it does fit better than the GOAT theme, but it’s still surprising we actually got a change after 13 years

They did change the title card the only thing that stayed was the Globe it no longer opens up to release the pictures Jeopardy doesn't swarm around in a marquee now the pictures spin around the globe followed by the Jeopardy logo also the pink shooting across the sky is gone and replaced by stars and the top of the Jeopardy logo does not have shadow. Was not thrown off by the theme song change I saw it coming it was way overdue they hadn't changed it since 2008

@@robertfisher835 tbh i’ve been waiting on a theme song change since season 35, what I was not expecting was the 2008 theme being remixed like this. i guess we’re doing what they did before 2008 where they made changes to the theme but kept it at the same pitch and key

Also, if longtime Jeopardy! announcer Johnny Gilbert passed away, former Clue Crew correspondent Kelly Miyahara might return to Jeopardy! and become the new announcer.

Honestly think that they have a different theme now than they did before because I feel like in the opening part the trumpet and the overall sound of it was much stronger and I feel like they kind of butchered that after the second episode and forward I don't know if it's just me that notices that but I definitely feel like something else has changed since then even from the second episode forward besides the fact that he says from the Alex Trebek stage

I like how they also added Art Fleming's clip from his Jeopardy! days with Alex Trebek's to remember that Alex wasn't the first host of the Jeopardy! franchise.

About time they jazzed up the theme tune!!

Agreed 100%. Even if MS Beolic were to host for a while I'm glad at least this theme got a slight upgrade to some extent. And I use a screen reader and I'm blind so I misspell my sentences some. Do forgive me, folks.

I Like How They Used Clips From The Art Fleming Years & The Syndicated Version of The Show Back When Alex Was Still Hosting As For The Intro It Self It's Basically The Season 37 Intro But With a Few Slight Changes.

Mike would get into trouble later on due to comments that blew up on social media. The firestorm they would set off would be enough to force him out of the producer role as well as the host role.

I hated Mike Richards anyway. I'm glad they're getting a new host soon.

The host podium looks dazzling with the vertical LEDs similar to Mercedes-Benz. Plus, it evokes Bert's sweater from Sesame Street.
