‘Jeopardy!’ Host Alex Trebek Spent His Final Day With His Wife
Alex Trebek gave a simple yet powerful statement as to what he wanted his legacy to be after the iconic game show host was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last spring. Trebek told “Entertainment Tonight” in May 2019 that he wanted to be remembered “just as a good guy.” Trebek, the host of "Jeopardy!" for nearly 40 years, died Sunday after battling pancreatic cancer. He was 80 years old. Trebek is survived by his wife, with whom he spent the final day of his life, just as he’d said he wanted to. #InsideEdition

He truly will be missed! True FACT: My father actually had a chance to be on his game for Jeopardy years ago when I was just a little kid I hardly remember it but that’s one of the memories that I remember most. Go easy my friend you were a great man! 🙏🏼💋
I'm not really into game shows, but i liked Jeopardy even though I never really sought out to watch it. For me, It's the kind of show where if my grandma put it on, I'd watch it with her or I'd watch it on the rare occasion it was playing when I turned my TV on. I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since he announced that he had cancer. I was very saddened to hear that he passed away. He truly seemed like a great guy. He was a family man. He really loved his wife, they might have been 24 years apart in age but he believed they were soulmates, and I wouldn't doubt it..they loved each other very much. He could have just retired and stayed at home with his wife and kids but he didn't, he loved working so he continued to do so till the last week of his life. Not only did he continue working for himself, but he continued working for _Us._ As I said, I didn't really watch Jeopardy all that much but I really did like Alex, and I'm gonna miss him..I'm glad Jeopardy is on Netflix because I'm definitely going to binge watch it. _“and I will say my goodbyes and I will tell people, ‘Don’t ask me who’s going to replace me because I have no say whatsoever. But I’m sure that if you give them the same love and attention and respect that you have shown me, then they will be a success and the show will continue being a success. And until we meet again, God bless you and goodbye.’”_ Rest in peace Alex. We'll all miss you. And i hope we all listen to him, and at least try to give the next host a chance. And In time show them the same amount of love, attention and respect. We don't know who it is yet but they can never truly replace Alex nor will they ever compare to him. But I know they'll do great.
R.I.P. Alex Trebek. Thank you for making my father happy and entertained every morning.
R.I.P Alex, you were a legend, never a dull moment watching you 💯 ❤️
This is so wholesome dude
I've cried so much the last few days over Alex I'm so crushed over his death.. He was such a kind and gentle soul 💚💚💚
RIP, Mr. Trebek! You will be missed by many of us! Thank you for all your hard work! (1940-2020)
"Till death do us part" the man held true to those words
My mom watched him all the time. We lost her to Dementia 3 years ago. God Bless and prayers go out to his family.🙏
He never gave up. He knew his final days were coming he just had a passion and he did what he loved
