Normally I don’t like when people are like “oh that’s MJ” cuz MJ is legendary and everyone takes a piece of him with them. BUT, this is straight out of the MJ playbook. The sound, the moves, the way he sings.. and I love it. The music is 70’s influenced in general. I’m here for this Jungkook.. and to think he almost didn’t do this song!

That's such a cool interpretation l agree!

I’m an old throw back myself lol! But aside from that funky beat that was in so many songs in the 80’s I can’t think of anything specific. More than the usual nods to the King of Pop, MJ. And nicely done. But since the album is said to highlight JK’s most golden moments, I am looking at the past. The tunnel reminded me of the “Run” tunnel. And of course I thought of Black Swan. And “deeper than the DNA”. I mean, ARMY will be separated and he knows our love will pass the test of time…But the modern Romeo and Juliet theory probs makes more sense lol.- One more thing. Remember the dance number BTS did early 2015, white military style suits? They danced to a Lim Bizkit song? Not even their own. But they had a “rewind” in that dance kind of like the limo drivers. (But I think BTS really did a true live reversal. Not 100% sure.) But still a reversal.

@@jamesrawlins735 Yes. Brian has choreographed several BTS songs and has appeared in several JK videos. Many years ago, I used to follow Ian and Brian closely. Who could have predicted that they would become so deeply involved in BTS/JK dance and choreography?!

The song and MV gave me a host of vibes. The black wings and stage reminded me of "Black Swan" MV. Parts of the choreography seemed to pay homage to MJ and his moves. The song reminded me of the beats from the 80's, for sure.

The throwback song is Rene and Angela I Love Your More released in 1981. Especially when JK Bass and Drum and the beat drops. That is definitely in the throwback song. Most of you are probably too young to know that song LOL unless you are a music head. 😀

The rhythm track is reminiscent of a song called "I Love You More" by Rene and Angela. I'm 56 yrs of age and It reminds me of old school R&B funk. I absolutely love JK's performance in this!

Great reaction. My guess is the sound of the music is very much in the style of the great producer Quincy Jones, a giant in the 70s and 80s (including MJ's Off The Wall album). He produced for a ton of artists - the instruments sound like his arrangement for the Off the Wall single.

MAJESTIC props to you for hearing the BeeGees reference. Great ear. It’s just a subtle reference but that’s the background for the MJ and the JK spin.

I'm really not thinking about other artist's songs when I watch and listen to JK or any of the other members songs. Honestly I don't feel a need to compare or look for similarities to others. To me they are unique and special on their own. There might be a flavor or a nod to other works, but our men are all one-of-a-kind treasures.
