it's so weird to me. why would Jensen speak for Misha too, about how "they certainly don't play that"? If I'm not mistaken Misha's recently admitted that he'd been directed to play a 'jilted lover' from the very beginning. And how in the hell can they be certainly "not playing it that way" and still become one of the biggest ships that the world knows of?? For the love of me I'll never wrap my mind around how things like Destiel keep emerging. How can a ship so profound come into existence by a freaking accident? It's not just the stares and Misha's sublime acting. It's also the camera work, directing, music, lighting, it's everything that screams romance and subtext! Did everything else also happened by accident? And kept on happening for 12 years? Or was Jensen really the only one who was clueless as to the intended direction of the relationship and the subtext? (And arrogantly so.)

@Ellie B. Misha will say anything to stay relevant. Poor thing, he is so old, ugly and untalented that nobody wants to work with him. J2 probably said NEVER AGAIN.

I ship Destiel but I don't think it's gonna happen. The writers back out every time they're about to make it canon.

I do think some shippers are over the top about it. But you can’t deny the fact that they give them a lot of queer moments on purpose just to hurt us. I’m fine if Jensen is uncomfortable acting out the relationship but then they should stop holding out the bait so the lgbtq watchers watch just so they get more views it makes us feel used and not cared about

kate 9296 every fandom has shippers that go too far including hellers she’s not saying everyone is over the top just some people and if it’s needed people will also react like this for straight couples (how I see it)

@@kate-oh3ey what I really mean by “over the top” is the shippers that take it into the real world and make sexual assumptions about Jensen and Misha as real people, its invasive to try and push sexuality onto real people. Then of course their are people who just simply want to feel represented in their favorite shows and of course their is nothing wrong with that, fans can do what they want with the story they are given, I draw the line at making these real actors uncomfortable in their daily lives.

No distill fan wants to admit that Destiel is never happening cause its not real

@Ellie B. your kidding in no way is that confession platonic at all. Cas says: “the one thing I want is something I know I can’t have.” He’s had Deans love as family and a friend, he hasn’t had it as more which is what he wants. And not to mention it’s Dean, he has trouble with emotions and expressing them. Just because he didn’t say it back in that moment, processing that Cas’s happiness was him, sure as hell doesn’t mean he didn’t feel it back.

@Ellie B. if you don’t recall it takes time for just emotions to come out as words; he shows he cares through actions. And it took Dean 40 years to tell Sam he loved him.

@Ellie B. no dean didn’t reciprocate, but it was definitely a romantic confession. Based off how misha played the scene and what he said about it afterwards. Misha spoke about how he thought it would be validating for the destiel shippers because they would finally have proof that they weren’t reading into nothing. And cas had already said he loved dean. It was the romantic implication that summoned the empty. And it’s canon in the way that it fueled castiel’s actions the whole time.

I understand if Jensen doesn't want Destiel to happen, or doesn't see it, but every time it comes up he is so rude and prude towards the idea and the fans that talk about it. He's not respectful at all. He could carefully talk about if it makes him uncomfortable and how he doesn't seen it, but in one video he just straight up says in a very serious and rude tone "It doesn't exist."

I certainly understand what you're saying, and I fully agree. Jensen does everything he can to avoid talking about that relationship. This video displays the fact that, years ago, he could share his feelings without being rude, but it's more of an exception at this point. And I blame the writers and the fans. When Castiel joined the show, the writers chose to follow the "soulmate formula" without realizing that one day, they could be expected to bring that story to fruition. TV has begun to reflect the world, and just because Dean doesn't fit some painful stereotype doesn't paint over the truth. Now, Jensen must deal with embarrassing questions at cons, pretending the fans are nuts, but then returning to longing looks, ridiculous dialogue, and mixed tapes. Jensen has every right to his opinion, and no, there's nothing secret going on between Dean and Cas,....It's all the stuff we see onscreen that he really has a problem with.

And why would you assume that anybody reasonable would be okay with that?! This is a TV show. None of these characters are real. Lunatics (on both sides, clearly) should never be tolerated. Whether you ship Destiel or not doesn't constitute how you feel about Jensen. And truly, the problem ultimately lies with the writers, who don't introduce viable love interests, and are more comfortable with Dean losing his mind over his guardian angel. As long as the long-term "love story" remains between the two of them, half the fandom will support them. While the other half won't. But death threats?!

Totally agreed! But Misha, he's a lord talking respectfully about it, without hurting anyone. It just does not make him uncomfortable
