Jenny Campbell Loses It With Father Over “Hot Air” | Dragons’ Den

Ойын-сауық

The wetsuit marketplace proves to be a bit slippery for a father-and-son business duo as they pitch for an investment of 50k in return for a 25% share of their business, Funky Seal Wetsuits.
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

Not quite an exact quote, but I agree 100%. It's a great statement and it grabbed me as soon as he said it. For the sake of accuracy, his actual wording was "There might be a gap in the market; but is there a market in the gap?".

I'd very much doubt it. Like one of the Dragons said it's to easy to replicate by the bigger brands who are already in that market and they have way more data than him and the dragons. The Product just doesn't hold up simple as that to much risk involved. Just to add him talking a ton didn't help his cause but that imo wasn't the sole reason.

That episode was so funny when Peter was getting annoyed by their inflated figures!

At 0:22 I witnessed the least convincing, most fake laugh I've ever seen in my 30 years on this planet. Dad pretended him saying he was an 'old sage' was an utterly hilarious quip. I almost commented to say so but thought 'naaaahhh, can't be arsed'. Then I reached 1:04 and I saw an EVEN FAKER laugh (a concept which seemed actually impossible a mere 42 seconds earlier) and was compelled to pause and document this momentous time in my life. Wow. What a funster this guy is. My family and I constitute a family unit - HAHA. Thanks for listening. Edit: I just got to 10:35 and, amazingly, he's done it again - a laugh even faker than the previous ones.

You can already get suits in multiple colours, but funky designs like in this vid not so common. Not that I like them, I find it a bit garish. Solid colors do it for me, but just pointing out we don't have to just stick to black wetsuits.

Black Provides Ultimate UV Protection Neoprene, the type of rubber your wetsuit is likely made from, starts off as a milky white color. Carbon black is a key ingredient added, turning the rubber black to increase strength. It also provides heightened UV resistance for the same reason as heat absorption. There you have it. Also, colour makes you shark food.
