The people on her payroll ARE her only "friends" and I put that in quotations because the people you bankroll aren't really your friends. They are employees who tell you everything you want to hear about yourself, but when the money is gone. THEY are gone. If you asked this woman who, in her immediate circle, that she isn't paying to be there, other than her family, my bet is it would be zero, none. And that is a sad existence.

However, to continually do that at the expense of your new marriage to "the one that got away" - the endless appetite for the glow of the spotlight IS frankly the narcissistic side of it!
