I do hope that this is better than _The Cell_ though. _Atlas_ reminds me of _Gravity_ a little, and to be honest, I always wished that Jennifer had gotten that movie instead of Sandra Bullock. In fact, with how tough and "hard" Jennifer's Hollywood persona has always been, I am surprised she has never starred in a major, big-studio action film. I could have seen her in roles similar to Ripley, The Bride, Sarah Connor, and Mrs. Smith. Heck, I cannot believe she still has not played any role in a superhero movie from Marvel or DC. I think she would be PERFECT to play Renee Montoya (the role Rosie Perez played in _Birds of Prey_ ) in James Gunn's upcoming revamp of the DC Comics cinematic universe.

@t.e.burgos3263 I agree. She has been passed up for many good roles. It's likely because she makes "pop" music so they never take her seriously. I was so happy when she got amazing reviews for Hustlers.

@@sage_martinez Not many people know that she auditioned for Evita in 1997 and The Gladiator in 2000 (both times she was refused), however there were certain ambitious roles that were offered to her like in The Star Is Born, Unfaithul, Green Mile and Jerry McGuire- she refused all of them for different reasons, mostly due to schedule conflict. She was also one of producers' early ideas for Lara Croft alongside Sandra Bullock for 2001's Tomb Raider. Reese Whiterspoon also wanted Jennifer Lopez to join the cast of internationally acclaimed Big Little Lies tv series in the third season, but it hasn't materialised yet.

@@sage_martinez Same here!!! And we were soooo close to her getting that Oscar nomination. Sucks that it never happened. Hey, but you know what? Let's keep our fingers crossed for the upcoming _Kiss of the Spider Woman_ movie adaptation (of the Broadway musical that was in itself an adaptation of a non-musical movie that was an adaptation of a novel). If you are familiar with Kander & Ebb's Kiss of the Spider Woman, you already know that Jennifer is PERFECT for the role that she will play in the film: Aurora (a role for which the late Chita Rivera won a Tony in 1994). This is absolutely perfect casting since the role requires a lot of dancing (and Jlo can certainly dance) and a seductively charismatic, larger-than-life star, which Lopes indeed is. Maybe this will be the role that gets Jenni her first Oscar nomination.

This woman keeps proving she is the GOAT! There is nobody like Jennifer Lopez who is a force of nature and can do more than every expetation from a human being! Jennifer Lopez is leaving her mark on the history! She is one of the biggest entertainers of all time! 🔥

@iamisiam - Taylor Swift only sings, JLO is a triple threat, she sings, acts and dance and is successful at all three. The woman is a force to be reckon with.

She is literally unstoppable. A workaholic! I don’t think she can sit still. She has to be doing something, if not multiple things, every second of her life. What a role model on living life to the fullest!

But what a surprise role for her. I'm so glad she's stepping out of her usual stuff that she plays. This is so cool!.
