Yes, she's always said she's quite shy with people, especially ones she doesn't know well. Once she is comfortable, she says she's a compulsive confessor. But she's talked about how she's also chosen to be more quiet, to the public, at times, to protect her personal life.

I met Jennifer Connelly over 30 years ago when she was a regular at Yoga Works in Santa Monica.. I had no idea who she was, but she was so insanely beautiful I knew she had to be an actress. I asked someone what her name was, and remembered it when "A Beautiful Mind" came out. She's still beautiful, and seems like a wonderful human as well
