Jennifer Aniston is speaking out in her first interview since the sudden death of Matthew Perry, revealing she was texting her “Friends” co-star and that he seemed happy and healthy on the morning he passed away. NBC’s Chloe Melas reports for TODAY.

It's heartbreaking that Matthew Perry passed. But he did it on a high note. He wrote a best-selling book, he did the Friends reunion, and at the time of his death it was noted that he had been sober and was getting healthy again.
I’ve been sober since 2005 and I can say he’s touched so many in recovery.

Everyone doesn't know all that stuff about him we know him only as Chandler n that's all I wanted to know now I have image of that. Thanks alot for ruining my image of him with all his demons n addictions n crap isnt the whole worlds biz to know.
