Michelle Obama mentioned this in her book. She said that the Secret Service will pick a letter (I’ll use T in this example since Jenna said her code name was Twinkle & her sister’s was Turquoise), and then will give them a list of approved code names. The “protectee” then can chose their code name from that list.

I bet shiny from Firefly... she kinda reminds me of the mechanic on that series

Bubba is a short nickname for “brother”.. my niece calls her brother “bubba” because she couldn’t say “brother!” When they were little. Nothing wrong with it!
