Something about this video just makes me smile every time. I love re watching it every once in a while. I love when Ellen says “I want to just say hi. Let me talk to the dad!” It’s cool how at the end of the day, they’re just normal people too-just a daughter calling her mom and dad to say hello.

I like how mentally grounded and normal Jenna is by not having to show an act for the camera because of who she is. Being able to joke and do a stint like this shows it.

This was too funny....George and Laura totally ACED this surprise call....

That was AWESOME!!!!!

I think the thing that worried her was that maybe she would call in the middle of a meeting or that maybe someone would get ahold of the number, its a security thing I am thinking, whenever you talk about the president your talking about a number everyone wants.

Regardless of what you think about Bush you have to admit this is pretty cool. He always seems like a great father. Obama too...

Although I disagree with his policies and views. But I have a lot of respect for him as a man. I feel like I would sit down with him and we could have a genuine conversation even about politics unlike trump who would most likely start screaming the moment you disagree with him

george was actually a pretty good looking guy in his younger years

Jenna Bush has actually just written a wonderful book about the life of a woman she met when on a UNICEF sponsored volunteer mission in Paraguay. Her share of the profits go to UNICEF, and the other profits go to the woman whose life was the basis for the book. I think that's pretty admirable, and a good reason to be on a talk show.

This may be the only time George Bush made me smile, and in a good way. Definitely humanizes him.

THANK YOU! for real, I think he is adorable and I feel so bad for the bad reputation he has received. I think very few people take into consideration how hard his job was and how much he had to deal with. I think he and his family epitomize class and I salute them for it. Seeing them interact as a family in this video is so endearing. I really loved it.

Legend says it that guarding that phone's lines all the way upto DC ,there were 5000 security officers to check for any physical breach ....

As a father I'm sure he's a great dad; but I just wish he would do the right thing for America it's people and the world. Take care of the poor, provide healthcare for all Americans, end the high cost of energy, and bring prosperity to all. I wish he'd be like Abraham Lincoln. I guess I can dream in the meantime.

Several things: 1) Stupidest is not a word. If you want to use the superlative, you would say "most stupid." 2) "Your" means possession, not "you are." If you wanted to say "you are," then you should have said "you're." If you have any further questions, I can get a second-grader who will be able to point out the differences to you.

Please try to remember even if we don't agree with his politics we can all agree he is still a father and like all father deserves our respect for his love of his kids. I think if George Bush had shown more of this side he would have been a better president and man.

sorry then, i mistook your comment as something else. Obviously both were fighting and dropping bombs but frankly, it's a necessary evil. I wish the countries there would clean up that shit themselves but they can't on their own so yeah, presidents will keep bombing and good people will keep dying because of it. But honestly, what else can they do? Just leave them there to infest the rest of the middle east and let them grow in size? Hopefully now that daesh has been pushed back as much as possible, the people there will take matters in their own hands and make sure they never get a foothold again. For their own good and for ours. But as i said, sorry for miss-interpreting your comment

oh please, stop playing the victim card...The middle east has been at war forever. If anyone is to blame its the fucking cowards in the Iraqi army who abandoned their posts instead of fighting..The Kurds in Iraq have more balls than the official army. At least they are trying to take back the country. And being harmed for no reason? seriously? You let a terrorist organisation take control of more than 90.000 square miles while they were able to make more than 3 million dollars a day selling oil and artifacts, not to mention the drug trade and kidnapping. It's becoming a joke how the middle east points at America as the devil yet they've let their own countries get overrun by the worst people this millennia has known. Maybe you're right though and the west should keep their nose out of the middle east. You've always been doing perfectly fine without them.

I completely agree. Ask any of the many, many people who hate Bush WHY they do and I guarantee that most will just go, "Um...the war? It's like, not right?" And if you say, "Please explain," they'll scratch their head, and then burst into tears and say "BUT EVERYONE ELSE HATES BUSH I JUST WANNA BE ONE OF THE COOL KIDS!"

I'm amazed that this great moment showing the love of a Father for his amazing daughter and most of the comments here just attacked President Bush. I didn't see the show, but I know Jenna worked for Unicef and talked with children in Columbia who have been devastated with Aids. She may have been promoting her book about one of the children she met. The Book is called "Ana's Story".
