I hope these two become friends after this because this is the most comfortable I have seen Jenna in an interview. Elle Fanning is the best and so thoughtful. Incredible since she's been through the ringer as an actress and dealing with fame this well but I hope there are more people in Jenna's life that help her deal with the social media aspect of her life or take her off it to protect her.

I know Hunter (the guy who played Tyler) has said in interviews (which emma has confirmed) that he sends Jenna and Emma Myers art he comes across because they're not on social media.

This interview was so wholesome. Two random actors paired up and the conversation flows so naturally, I think they clicked so much, and Elle looks so wise and supportive. She def gives older sister vibes even though she is not. Elle is so sweet and such a ray of sunshine and Jenna is so honest and real, I loved it. My favourite so far.

Yes. Such a rarity for child actors to grow up while sidestepping all the pitfalls of fame at such a young age. They're extremely lucky or their parents raised them well. Being sisters looking out for each other must be nice. I remember Dakota showing a big sister side when they did the dubbing voices for Miyazaki's My Neighbor Totoro.

People barely realize she is one of the few Latinas in the spotlight, there is a lot of jealousy and negativity around her, and I'm so glad she's this resilient. She's a genuinely inspiring young woman!

Elle seems really wise, I love how she handled Jenna's emotions. Jenna is really having a hard time lately. We've all been young once and made mistakes, but when you're in the public eye, some people doesn't give you the grace for those mistakes. Elle is very kind to acknowledge her struggle and giving her very helpful advices that a young girl really needs in her age. This talk is very authentic and very comforting.

@@videovoidtv Agreed she looks young but she has been working since she was a child that creates maturity. the fact that she is willing to be exposed is amazing and I hope that the backlash doesn’t make her build a public eye persona as a way to put up walls or to hide what she really wants to say. I wish Elle told her that her openness is refreshing but to be more strategic about what she says because of the downsides of the media. When I saw how she bad mouthed her executive producer being more Elle age I thought wow y would she do that. Then I thought about it and she exposed something that allowed people to stop thinking of her as a puppet she allowed her voice to be heard and as a result she is a producer now. She was given respect. So I hope what she does becomes the norm

Jenna is so sharp and articulate. Watching her speak and decide how to construct her sentences (her vocabulary is exquisite!) you can tell there is so much going on in her mind. And Elle is so mature and grounding and calming and comforting, like the best kind of older sister (ironic since she’s the younger sister in real life). I love how honest and vulnerable these sessions get. This one's special because both of them are such young people but are pretty seasoned actors for their ages and with all the attention Jenna's getting in her professional and personal life, things are undoubtedly full of pressure. And Elle can fully understand that. So it's just cool to see this pairing, and it must be nice for two young professionals to be able to just talk and relate with Elle sharing her wisdom and experiences with Jenna. I also forget how YOUNG Elle is because shes been acting for so long. And with her sister being in hollywood for so long it just baffles me to think Elle is only 25.

Seeing Jenna in such a relaxed state is honestly so relieving for me, and I imagine relieving for a lot of us to be able to learn about her journey where she can fully express herself. I think this interview really helps to acknowledge that the industry they work in is wholly devouring and so dangerous despite its rewards. Elle Fanning creates such a raw and honest environment, and you really get to see the impacts this all has (in a good way). Jenna is such a sweet, talented soul who deserves every ounce of success, and it hurts to know there are people out there mean enough to try and ruin this for her. Social media is a literal war zone, and it’s so so unfair that people like her are victims to it just because of the inhumane types of people online. It’s a place of limitless freedom and too often this is exploited rather then celebrated.

Its so stupid too since obviously many ppl get success who are assholes, it happens, but Ortega is such a wonderfully decent person, she’s not egotistical, she’s young but she’s super humble, and yet somehow ppl still go after her, and she’s so super talented and not just Wednesday, when i saw her in X, and then Wednesday and then Scream I thought she absolutely deserves this fame and money. I mean i dont understand how many horrible famous ppl there are but ppl always go after the genuinely decent ones for no reason other than spite and easy targets and getting a reaction from them. Jared Leto won’t respond to their tweets/comments but Ortega will, or will leave social media.

Jenna opening up about Social Media and becoming so emotional really tugs at the heart strings. Heres a young woman who only wants to do the best job she can in her career to entertain people and was driven off platforms by so called "fans" who twist and manipulate everything she's says or does. My hope is that shes beginning to realize that being herself is the ONLY way to present one's self, and that haters are going to hate regardless of what she does. Being true to herself and ignoring the madness that is the internet will go a long way in helping her overcome her fears and hesitancy. Its nice knowing that despite it all she's still so passionate about acting and eager to perform, it's wonderful to hear her say that.

@@irenalawlor1935 Its more then just that. Her popularity has so rapidly risen that she's gone from a up n coming but still relative unknown actor to super stardom basically over night. It's fundamentally changed her life and done so very quickly. The sudden interest in her and the microscope she finds herself living under now must be daunting. If you think about it for 10 years she's been acting and socializing on various platforms. To suddenly need to pivot away from things she'd been doing as little as 7 months ago for her own mental health and safety would be upsetting. She's such a kind soul, a really great person and its almost as if people like her are attacked just for that reason. Like she said all this ugliness is worth her being able to do what she loves and she will learn to handle all this in due time, shes 20 still learning and growing. To me at 44 she's still just a kid but is already so well rounded and grounded. She has a long promising career ahead of her.

@@ooscardls I agree the writing in general was all too mediocre basically the only really good part about the show was Jenna Ortega’s performance, even some of the other characters were just not played the best. For example Enid I like her she’s fun but she also has some of the corniest lines. It’s interesting how Jenna already had to step up and make her own changes for her character I bet it was frustrating so her actually having a bigger say is pretty big I trust she knows what’s best for Wednesday.

Totally understand that. The love triangle felt to basic and predictable for a character like Wednesday because teenage romance and love triangles have been done so many times and I really can't see a character like Wednesday being part of something like that. I can see Wednesday being in love at some point, maybe someone she has a strong bond with. I personally think that Wednesday would be the sort of character that falls for one person and that would be it, but Wednesday is only 16, she is to young for all that love stuff and we just need at least 1 season where they just focus on the characters. I actually ship Wednesday and Enid a bit though and maybe who knows they can build up a strong bond between the two over a course of 3-4 seasons, then get them together if it makes sense. I don't want them forcing it.

It’s so refreshing to hear Elle saying that she watches her own work and has done a long time. Actors often give this big song and dance about not viewing their work but in some ways it is essential to do that. Regardless of what work you do you need to review and take stock. We all have to do that.

I feel like Elle Fanning's gonna become a big time producer, writer or director in the future. She has the passion for filmmaking

Elle just shines bright. Light bright energy. So genuinely nice. Seeing her bring a calmness and safe vibe to this conversation. Jenna opening up was so beautiful to see.

There's so much more value in exploring the flaws and cracks in one's character, and that complexity really comes through when she plays Catherine. One of the best Actor on Actor segments ever made. Jenna Ortega and Elle Fanning gave a brutally honest, raw and heartfelt talk about the pitfalls and blessings of the industry that should be study by young actresses everywhere.

What an amazing conversation! Amazing chemistry, Elle is so outspoken and intelligent and so is Jenna, I almost feel like they have a mentor- pupil way , but simultaneously a relationship of equals. Amazing dynamic.

Elle's last scene in 'the Great', blew me away. She is just so raw and fearless in the scene as far as acting and the whole heart breaking turn in the character was brilliant. Jenna is natural and I feel like when she finally broke down in 'Wednesday' and was able to feel it was a powerful moment. well done, to both women.

Everyone’s chanting Jenna’s name but omg never knew Elle was such a delight! What a breath of fresh air! Seemingly one of the very few celebs with a personality of her own. Keep it up girl. Also wow so stunning to look at!

It's a testament to Jenna's maturity that she's already on board as a producer for her show. That's so incredible, even though she is already driving much of the success of the show. Hopefully they continue to look after and foster her career

This conversation is so important, especially the ugliness of social media and artists having to have a big audience to get professional opportunities. They literally throw them to the slaughter, unprepared to cope with having people critique your every word and picture. I really hope Jenna can find a way to protect herself against the haters and people twisting everything about her. Like Elle said, it’s not reality, but I get how it can feel like it when it’s coming at you from thousands of people 24/7. We need to be better to people online. We are all human. jenna and elle are two of the most talented actresses of this generation.

i love seeing celebrities be vulnerable about what they truly care about. seeing jenna cry about struggling to be seen as this authentic person (which i think she already was super authentic and true to herself) holds so much power. Its so cool seeing elle and her get to meet and discuss all things acting, producing, navigating personal life, etc. i loved this so much.

It's refreshing for a young actress to express uninhibitedly how they're fine with watching themself without a trace of arrogance. I understand Elle comes from immense priveledge, but I still find it deeply inspiring. I also, love Jenna's thoughtful responses. These two are great.

Seeing Jenna cry hurts so much. She's an amazing person and definitely doesn't deserve all the hate she's getting

elle fanning has always been a tremendous actress and she's been working for a decade but she's not appreciated enough like any other actresses working today. i'm glad the great gave her the opportunity to showcased what she can really do and it proved we shouldn't sleep on her talent. her comedic timing was just impeccable for a first time doing comedy and she was also able to hit those heavy emotional scenes which she never fails to deliver, she is actually insane for this. if you haven't watched the great, you should give it a try, she is pefect as catherine and she better win all the awards this year.

This is most comfortable conversation in "Actors on actors". From Jenna and Elle comes such a kind vibe🧡 And the topics that Jenna touched on at the end are very important and really require a lot of discussion

Seeing Jenna cry I felt like a protective father or brother over her and I just wanted to give her a hug.

Jenna and Elle look so comfortable around each other. This is comforting to see, especially since the release of Wednesday Jenna has been so tired and stressed, this felt like watching her chat with a fried

They are both very aware of the other one and great listeners (not interrupting each other) and following up on what the other one has shared. This way of holding yourself in a conversation makes it easy for the other one to settle in and feel comfortable. Both of them also meet so many people with their work, so they are used to talking to people they don’t know (they mentioned that they had never met before). They are both young, but still not your average person around their ages (many around 18-25 yrs. of age can still be a bit shy and awkward around new people and in a conversation).

Protect these young women at all costs!! This was such a genuine conversation and I can't wait to see what they do in the future.

I hope this grows into a beautiful friendship. How amazing would it be to see them on each other's shows?! These women got me cryin' 😭❤️

I have a feeling that casting directors might consider these two individuals for a film. They give off a great friendly vibe, and I would be thrilled to see them collaborate on a movie project.

I'm so impressed by Jenna Ortega. She is so eloquent and grounded at such a young age.

This conversation was so genuine and supportive! Both actresses are amazing and I hope a friendship can grow from this, because it’s a relentless industry! I love them both

Jenna really opened up in this interview. She is the kindest young intrapreneur out there. She's a real inspiration.

Elle seems so kind and sweet especially when Jenna got emotional, she was so supportive and I love people like that who are actively looking to support people in conversation ❤️

This pairing is ONCE AGAIN perfection.

I find it very interesting when Elle mentions about 'strong female leads' which is something that Hollywood has gotten so wrong for so long. The irony is both Jenna and Elle are perfect examples of what a strong female lead actually is. With them its not forced and it's not fake its just genuine with passion put behind it. Love them both and I hope that they continue to have the success they so deserve. I'd love to see them work together someday.

I don't think I've ever seen Jenna so comfortable in an interview if you can really call it that, Elle definitely gives off big sister vibes, definitely takes after Dakota a little bit and she was very supportive and kind when Jenna started crying. I really hope Jenna doesn't feel the need to change who she is because she's already amazing, she's so real, it's like she's an everyday girl dealing with Hollywood bs

The beat where it turned from a conversation for variety and for the audience to one between the two of them was beautiful to watch

37:04 the way Jenna says "Fetus" warms my heart 😊 despite the tears she's still able to smile through it all and i love her for that. Wish her nothing but the best ❤ (and shout out to Elle for being so understanding, and allowing Jenna to completely express herself. You could tell it was a comfortable setting and i loved seeing how they both interacted with one another. Such a great interview ❤

Whenever jenna Ortega is on it is extremely hard to take your eyes off the screen she is so dam captivating 😊

I wish we could have heard a little more from Elle. It felt kind of like Elle was interviewing Jenna. She's so kind, and so well spoken.

Elle is just the sweetest.

​@Constance Collet people were mad because she said she refused to say certain lines so they called her an entitled actress (even though this improved Wednesday). She said she hadn't watched euphoria, they were mad. She was seen smoking a cigarette and having a glass of wine in London, they were mad. No real reasons.

Elle Fanning is amazing and her career is even more amazing. I applaud her for being hands on as a producer on the Great which is FANTASTIC. Definitely my favorite show.

I was looking forward to this so much because of Jenna, but let me say before I even begin that Elle herself is just brilliant and so down to earth....these two really compliment each other so well and how they bounce off each other just seems so natural and it's kind of crazy that this is like how they officially met and had an actual conversation. I love how much they pay attention to each other when the other speaks and you can just see that they will 100% be friends after this I feel they have so much in common and they can help each other in so many different ways more than anything else...love this!!! I forgot to add the raw emotions Jenna showed when she was talking about social media...bruh that hurt to see for real, I hope she just feels better in the long run

Not only are these two talented actors, they are talented conversationalists. The active listening, vulnerable shares, and always asking how the other feels... it's a beautiful thing to witness!!!!

They have such a chemistry, I didn’t know I needed to see them talking like this. I hope to see them working together someday.

I clicked on this video to see Jenna BUT I want to say that Elle is a pleasant surprise! I knew her before but I could not even imagine that she is such a wonderful, kind and understanding person!

It was heartwarming to see. There is something touching about listening to a young woman like Jenna, who portrays scripted lives for living, speak so candidly about her desire and struggle to remain her authentic self.. that is such a mature and wise outlook on life. I love her even more. Ella is simply poise and delightful. This was one of my favorite pairings by Actors/Actors 😊❤

I love to see interviews of celebrities, especially like them. Their charisma is incredible, they can light up the room without even saying a word. Plus they seem honest and kind. Both amazing actors!!

I saw them on the THR Roundtable yesterday and now I’m happy to see this interview 👏🏽

Elle has been one of my favorite actresses for a very long time, I can't believe how humble she is in this interview! And Jenna is so so so sweet answering questions and then asking Elle to make her feel involved, I just love their personalities.

I’ve been saying this over and over but I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way about a “celebrity” or an “actor/actress” before. But Jenna Ortega is so REAL. That moment at 35:24 and on is so damn authentic. I’ve literally thought the same thing she expressed here for years now. It’s crazy to see it put into words though. 🙏🏿

@@tiannitvoyce Yeah, that’s pretty much how I feel about her too. She’s just raw and relatable with what she says. The first interview I saw with her, I found myself noticing how different her mannerisms and opinions were compared to her co-stars. I was so impressed I even thought it was a fluke at first. Then I watched another interview, then another, then another, and her conviction, confidence and intelligence stayed consistent. She’s a breath of fresh air in Hollywood. Oh yeah, good luck to you in your future endeavors as well. 👍🏿

Elle is a great listener. That was a really nice conversation that I felt Jenna needed.

Seeing Jenna getting emotional made me cry cause what she said was so true about social media and how toxic it is. Celebrities really can’t speak out about anything cause people do twist there words and it’s so sad to see that. It honestly makes me sick and she doesn’t even deserve to get the hate that she gets when she’s so honest and nice. It’s horrible and I feel so bad, it hurts to see her so sad.

@@constanceclt she’s been receiving hate comments on her Instagram for stupid stuff. When she was at a birthday party that Percy was also at she was getting death threats and people were hoping she got r*ped and other horrible things. When she was smoking some people were just making a big deal out of it. Some people also just hate her because they think she’s narcissistic, pick me girl, or a try hard which isn’t true. I think that’s why she was mostly crying because she started getting more hate after Wednesday.

It’s always hard to see younger actors and actresses who a lot of the public still fail to realise are growing up and still figuring out who they are, the insurmountable pressure they have to deal with on a daily basis from people and social media it’s unreal and very stress inducing that if you don’t limit your use you can get lost and go on a downwards spiral on all the opposing opinions people may have on you. Jenna is facing these very things and I believe she is doing that best thing by limiting her use of social media and not letting the noise get to her but surrounding people herself with friends and family who are always there for her. Very raw and emotional to see her open up to Elle which seemingly they only met for the first time now, sad that Jenna finds she can’t be as authentic and vulnerable as she’d like to be to her followers but it’s the harsh reality we live in this kinda messed up world, seeing her cry just makes people wanna give her a massive hug and just tell Jenna of all the amazing things she has achieved and going to accomplish I’m sure of in the future, very good interview ❤❤❤

these are my fave interviews EVER. They're natural and wonderful. This was absolutely sincere and I was right there the whole time. Was sad when it was over.
