Is he really underrated?
He speaks with more gravity than Jupiter. It's kind of mesmerising.
Stephen Colbert is a 'host'. Get it?

This man is the most underrated actor in Hollywood, PERIOD.
New Commissioner Gordon!!!

I usually hate racebends and genderbends, but somehow there is something about Jeffrey Wright that screams Jim Gordon... Idk... With the classic mustache he will probably pull off a great Commissioner Gordon. My only problem is the implication this might bring... His daughter, Barbara Gordon/Batgirl... if she shows up, she might get racebent too... And I don't think that'll work... She's always been a red head in the comics (on of the smallest minorities btw - redheads). Her costume design always includes her red/orange hair too. They could go around it by saying she was adopted or that she's his niece tho, which has happened in the comics I'm my memory doesn't fail me. Well... this said... Matt Reeves probably won't do Batgirl in his trilogy... we might get lucky if he even does Dick Grayson's Robin near the end of the trilogy.

@@Mr.BluePants bro I know it’s somewhere in your wall of text but come on, Multiverses exist for a reason in comic books, it’s always possible for characters to be a different race, hell sometimes it even involves them being a different species.
So he CAN look through his glasses!!!

Starkaryen Snow I love how he adjust them so they land below his eye
Jeffrey Wright also played a badass drag queen in the HBO mini series, Angels in America, and I wish he would get more recognition for that role because he was my favorite character.
Very underrated actor!!

Not anymore
No one is really going to talk about Evan Rachel Woods' voice, Amazing, and Clementine on the the Piano! :-)
Jeffrey Wright is one of the few truly cerebral, authentic, incredibly believable actors in existence. He is the only actor who can actually make me stop whatever I'm doing and watch him. It's just amazing how he does it. Don't get me started on his normal vocal tone......oh my goodness! He could read the instructions on how to build a garden shed to an audience of thousands and captivate them.
They definitely should’ve kept the “doesn’t look like anything to me” bit, that was actually hilarious XD
Hey Commissioner!
Jeffrey's performance on Westworld is such a clean locus of dramatic gravitas. It is pretty breathtaking.
Jeffrey Wright's my favorite actor. The show is brilliant as it is, but to have him AND Anthony Hopkins AND Evan Rachel Woods - it's all most too good.
HUGE fan of Jeffrey Wright's work since seeing him in HBO's ANGELS IN AMERICA. Excellent actor!
Why would ANYONE think that joke wouldn't work?! That was perfectly funny!😂😂😂
I loved him playing Muddy Waters in Cadillac Records. He has great range . One of the best actors of our time.

it was a honor being rick rolled by the show , i was there on the AMA when they posted the link
This show sends shivers down my spine every episode.
Glad they started to publish the whole guest intros on the videos again. Somehow that makes more sense to me...
This man is an incredible actor. Love this series! The first show that I have been able to completely lose my self in since the first season of True Detectives and Game of Thrones.
His voice though..Like a therapy
First season surprised me in a huge, positive way. Let's hope this one delivers as well. They certainly have all the talent and money.

I have loved JW since Basquiat...fantastic actor with a wide range of outstanding work. I've always had a soft spot for his villain in Shaft, too.

I usually use bourbon to treat my troubled intensity, not cause it.
Fans of Jeffrey Wright who've not yet seen HBO's Angels in America... WATCH IT NOWWW. It will change your life. Jeffrey main character, Belize, does not appear till the second "episode," but you'll see his short appearance as "Mr. Lies," and from Episode 2 on Belize is a major character. He becomes Roy Cohn's nurse as Cohn is dying of AIDS and their scenes are incredible... As is everything else.
Sometimes, I just play clips of scenes from different movies he starred in to compare and appreciate how he can transform and draw you in with his acting! Amazing actor..Keep doing ya thing Jeffrey, forever a fan! Currently Westworld S02 e09.
"It doesn't look like anything to me" could be a meme ..expect it violate the rules of non-Mainstreamism
2018 still rick rolling... not even mad
Extremely underrated actor. Loved him in Hunger Games, and he’s amazing in WW.
Not just what's on the page man. It's talent and the ability to become the character on the page, which u do very well.
The guy is actually hilarious
I know a lot of people say that Jeffrey Wright is underrated, he is more overlooked because quite frankly he is one of the finest actors in the world period!
Best rickroll ever :D
when stephen went to westworld - he might have been exchanged with a robot! :-)
They definitely should've kept that line in there LMAO
Great actor great human!❤
Evening, Commissioner.
Life's timings... I rented season One just a couple days ago. I have one more episode to go. The series is uneven IMO. But Mr Wright is a wonderful performer. He was very good in Bordwalk Empire too.
What a voice
I heard that sweet band playing about 8 seconds of Mercy, Mercy, Mercy. Thumbs up.
WE WANT HIM BACK IN BOND 25
We can add "Uatu in What If...?" to "list of quietly intense Jeffrey Wright performances."

What a godly character he is! The last episode absolutely stunned me
This makes me wanna research the season premier
The original motion picture West World - Burt Coburn wow wow wow.
Fuck me, the "it doesn't look like anything to me" line is brilliant there. Actually made me burst out laughing, why on earth would you cut that out in favour of the original.
My man Peoples Hernandez.
I don't know why this man isn't a superstar famous actor? Anywhere i see him, he's just brilliant! His acting skills are amazing! First time i saw him was in an episode of House MD. He played as a guest in one episode. All was thinking about was, who that amazing actor? Why have't i never heard of him? Why isn't he famous or something? One of my favorite actors of this age.
Jeffrey Wright....still looking for that door!
Did CBS just censor “balls” out of ballsacks? Lol
They're all excellent actors but I think he's the best in the series.
It didn't look like anything to me XD
He was amazing in the Manchurian Candidate
Ok, that line definitely should have stayed... that's hilarious!

The music they played was Charles Mingus. He was so brilliant, but underappreciated in Jazz.
Are they playing Charles Mingus in the background of the intro?
an amzing actor
I have never thought there was merit in putting glasses on until I saw westworld
Jeffery was also a standout in Boardwalk Empire as a villain!
Oh great, now they’re going to have to include an orchestration of Never Gonna Give You Up on the soundtrack for Season Three! Lol.
Beetee!
Peoples Hernandez!!!!
Allways nice to see Peoples!
Stephen did not mention Boardwalk Empire and I'm kinda disappointed but not many people know the show even exists to be fair to him

Awesome actor!
This guy is great
PEOPLES?!
This guy gets it.
Good thing he's an adult.
there's so much missed opportunities for Bernard references here.. so much
He's one of those actors that when he's on the screen, you're riveted as a viewer. In that way, he reminds me of Samuel L. Jackson.
Wow,I just get rick rolled by Dolores
His best line in S2E1 was when he interrupted the one woman with "let's take a canoe trip sometime and discuss it, but now....."
when colbert talked about the clip Wright should have said "doesn't look like anything to me" it would have been epic :D
I wish I had this guy's voice. Get all the ladies
Has Delores been re-enacting scenes from Jane Russell's 1943 movie 'The Outlaw' with the man in black?
wow, Evan and Angela should have a band
No one talks about the original movie with Yul Brenner.

Leftatalbuquerque well it’s amazing how the creators of the show and JJ Abrams always harken back to the original film because the ideals presented in it were really ahead of its time. The first actual legit sci do film of the 21st century

It might be due to the multiple influences since that classic film: Blade Runner and Ex Machina just to name two. It is worth noting that Michael Crichton did consider creating a show based on his book/film before his death.

Probably because it's frankly not a good film. It had great ideas and a good performance from Brenner, but poor execution overall.

I love the old Westworld, and it deserves credit for being the first movie to bring a number of ideas and effects to the movie screen. That said, the entire story could be told in a few pages, and it has no mystery to solve. Mary Shelley told this story first, but the new Westworld tells it best.
